How did Spiderman get his Powers??? (If this post gets more than 5 responces I will be shocked!!!)

I am a huge Spiderman fan and I know he CLAIMS
he got his powers by a spider biting but lets thing
about it.... He does not shoot webs that is man
made... A Spider shoots webs.... He has spidey
sense that warns him of Danger. I have killed quite
a few spiders in my day and none have ever
dodged me before I tried swinging so no spider
sense for a spider. Yes, he can climb walls and is
strong but I am not buying it...... I am offering a
10,000 reward to anyone who finds the truth!!!!

Here are THREE possible origins for you. Pick one that you like.

In the original "Amazing Fantasy" story, teenage nerd Peter Parker was bitten by a spider dying of radiation poisoning. It was just a common spider that had just, by accident, become irradiated by a scientific experiment. When it bit Peter, it gave him his wonderful spider-powers!

In the Ultimate Spider-Man (and also, I think, the movie) continuity, the spider had been genetically altered, and a wacky side effect of this is that it altered the body chemistry of whomever it bit. On a class field trip, one bit teenage nerd Peter Parker, and he gained his wonderful spider-powers!

OR if you want to follow current continuity, "Amazing Spider-Man" writer Joe Michael Stracynzski (the same guy who did Babylon 5) has given Parker a more mystical origin - was the spider radioactive, and dying, and that's why it bit Parker? Or was the spider purposefully trying to bite Parker and give him superpowers anyway....WITHOUT the radioactivity having anything to do with those wonderful spidey powers???

There you go. I have no life. I'm afraid I must go catalog my run of Alpha Flight now....

I admire your dedication to exposing superhero fraud. I think most, if not all superheroes are pulling the wool over our eyes in one way or another.

Ever notice the high rate of supervillains that have either grown up with or been in intregral part of their superhero enemy's life?

Spiderman had Dr. Octopus and that Lizard guy. Batman had TwoFace/Harvey Dent. Lex Luthor apparently grew up with Clark now.

Are we to believe there's REALLY that much animosity between these old friends? Considering the relationship could potentitally be mutually beneficial to both parties...what's to say these old chums aren't in cahoots? After all, there's usually a crime that alerts the superhero that the villain's back in town before he busts them...where's that money go? I say they split it 50/50. Fuckers.

it seems like spidey's got background issues with all his enemies. Green Goblin is his best friend's dad. venom's human part (eddie brock) was his bully at school. doc ock and doc conner were both his teachers and the ock man has a thing for aunt may. too bad JJJ doesn't have super powers (or does he?)

Thompson did and surprisingly he never had any
super powers.... However Venom came from
Spideys new costume that he got from Secret Wars
and Venom is the Reason for Carnage's existence
so you can blame Spidey on him as well
