Does your partners sexual past matter? [Archive]

When I get involved in a relationship I like to be honest and if asked I will talk about my sexual past. More often then not it usually comes back to bite me in the ass though, so I'm not so sure I should be as forthcomming as I usually am. (I usually date younger women and I have lived around the country and the world and have a more extensive past than my partners have had)
Myself I like a lady who has a bit of sexual expierence because the more sex you have the better you get and more willing to try different things. I never ask about a woman's sexual history.
Why do women ask things they may not want to hear the answer to? I can't help what I have done in the past. In the future I wouldld still like to be honest but dont know if I should tell the whole truth.

PN- if asked.... give the number of partners and don't go any further than that...thats if you don't mind... personally it's none of anybody elses business who youv'e been with... Unless it's a ? of health concern... a women doesn't necesserly want to hear that her mans been with 300 women... that would scare me off...
But above and beyond that... mabye your just elaborating too much.... you may be indirectly giving them expectations that they feel they have to live up to...

no but on a serious note I see it this way, at least in my experience the younger I was the more active I was....But as I got older i realized what the fuck am I doing, and i learned I was starting to get to insensitve to sex. But as I got older I became more selective with my partners when I was younger..andladies please dont take offense to this. I use to just do any girl who opened her legs to me. Now there is morematurity and more selectiveness. So I dont think its that improtant unless its a health concern. I rather not know how many men my partner was with cause its not my business but if its a health issue then its a different matter.

It's rare but I sometimes try to get out of her some of the promiscuous things she did before we met...
At times it's seems exciting to me to hear what she may have done but then other times I get a little pissed...

for me its a "for curiosity sake" and a health issue. i would never hold any bodies past against them, as well i wouldnt want anyone to hol mine against me.. sometimes we make mistakes, and sometimes we use sex for the wrong things.....

I see how it would bother people if they were seeing someone who has slept with a lot of people. But, sometimes you have to let the past be the past. Most of us dont' regret what we have done or who we have done, and in fact it has made us who we are, whether it was good or bad.

I think it causes too many problems and it usually starts the downfall of the relationship. Not to be crued or vulgar, but if i'm with a woman, i don't care about her sexual past. She could of fucked all of North America, the fact of the matter is that she chose to be with me. In the end, thats all that matters to me.

It never mattered to me until I met my wife. I know it's stupid, but when love is involved I guess it complicates things. I don't want to hear about my wife's sexual past. What I don't know won't hurt me. Anyone else that ever caught my eye - it never bothered me. <P>
