It would have to be the theme to "Greatest American Hero". It's a scientific oddity, in that after hearing the song once, you're able to sing it completely from memory.

I thought of two with great passion, as if the show was a matter of life and death:

"Charles in Charge"...he was a little Hitler, wasn't he? In charge of the day and the night, wrong and right, and people were BEGGING him to run their lives.

"Reading Rainbow"...my first introduction to the strong black woman. I really believed she could fly twice as high. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeee could do ANYTHINGGGGG!

To the best of my knowledge, Small Wonder is only rerun on Fox at like 3 Am. That show had the worst bluescreen effects ever. Vicki'd lift people off the ground and they would hover like a foot and a half over her hand.

Alf is still off in obscurity, except for his recent TV movie. One day he'll be back, and not only in pog form.

"Greatest American Hero", "That 70's Show" (I'm a little bit of a Cheap Trick mark), and the lost classic: "The Gary Shandling Show", the original from Fox. That was a great time in television, as you had "The Ben Stiller Show", "The Tracey Ullman Show", Gary, and the genius of Chrisa Elliot's "Get a Life" all in one neat Sunday lineup...

Knight Rider rocked, and it rocked hard.

Gary Shandling was one of the funniest things I have ever heard:

This is the theme to Gary's show.
The theme to Gary's show.
Gary called me up and asked
Would I write his theme song?
I'm almost half-way finished,
How do you like it so far?
How do you like the theme to Gary's show?

This is the theme to Gary's show.
The opening theme to Gary's show.
This is the music that you hear
As you watch the credits.
We're almost at the part
Where I will start to whistle
Then we'll watch "It's Gary Shandling's Show"

(whistle whistle whistle whistle)
(whistle whistle whistle whistle)
Now it's time for Gary Shandling's Show.

Small Wonder was a good 80s theme song and a show I liked watching at the wee hours of the morning, it was really cheesy.

But for coolest how about Peter Gunn - just see the last season premier of the Sopranos to see why.
