Ron, feel better!! When I was singing professionally and I started to get sick, I would take tons of Vitamin C, drink tea with honey & lemon and suck on cough drops and zinc lozenges like they were going out of style.

Before I went to bed, I would gargle with warm saltwater and then gargle with mouthwash. Then I would inhale steam with a vaporizer. Also, vocal rest never hurts - for Pete's sake, you make money with your voice, you can't mess with them vocal chords.

(now I remember why I quit singing, all that freakin' upkeep sucked major donkey schlong)

Actually there were several well known women opera singers to give head in their dressing room before a performance. It supposedly "opened" their throats so they could sing better.

Well, get better, bro. When I was a punk-ass kid and started feeling sick, I'd gobble tons of Vitamin C, drop a hit of LSD, and use herb judiciously, like it was medicine. Believe me, I blasted many mo'fo colds out the water that way.
