Mine are and this is very personal but i don't care...theyr'e splitting up...it's driving me insane... i don't have anything else to say......... sorry for this post........

God put me on this earth to do a certain number of things right... now i'm so far behind, i'll never die.

God i feel awful, i've never read a post that ended with "i'm sorry for this post". I felt obligated to reply to this post because i felt awkward reading such a serious post without any reply. My parents are divorce, but i really can't think of anything comforting to say except i'm sorry. Let put more thought into an answer and i'll get back to you

my mother and father divorced when i was 11. i have no relationship whatsoever with him now. my mom remarried and divorced him after 11 years. he was a good guy, just very lazy and a pain in the ass sometimes. it wasnt a shock when it happened, but it was a rough time because my mom was in the middle of a nervous breakdown and i felt bad for my stepfather because he really doesnt have any family except for us, so i would go visit him and stuff until 6 months ago when he suddenly developed an attitude with me. the hardest part of the divorce is that i miss my dogs soooo much!

They'll be together 27 years this year, but shortly after they got married, my dad's parents moved to the U. S. b/c my mom had had it with my father and they pretty much knew that w/out her, he would self destruct.
Don't be sorry ICG, no matter what age you are, this sort of thing is really painful.

my parents are still together but when I lived in Ecuador i had neither of my parents... they lived here... 80% of my friends parents overthere are divorced and I went throught it with them alot
if you ever need anyone to talk to you can always call me up... Im there and have no problem talkin about it.. or whatvere

My parents seperated when I was 11. I see my Dad a few times a year, he had/has a drinking problem.

My parents divorced when I was 12,,I saw my father like 3 times in the next year and I haven't seen him since and I'm almost 27 now.
after the divorce my sister and I were stuck on the rollercoaster ride of all my mothers failed relationships and marraiges, moving from house to house ,guy to guy, town to town, until finally,,,,I moved out,,,and found happiness,,now if only my little sister would find her own place and move out of the nut house all would be well

icg..I am so sorry to hear what is happeneing to you...my folks split up when i was a pre teen and they divocreced it hurt alot for me in fact the divorce was finallized December 12,1989 3 days before my bday so i always remember it....icg if ou ever need to talk please email me or call me....<hug> to make you feel better

ICG,hang in there girl,let them figure it out.I don't know if there's anything you can do or say to change their minds,I don't know your relaltionship with them,but just try to be there for them,and not take sides if possible.
My Mom and dad spilt when I was 3 and my dad never bothered with me ever since. When I was 25 I re-met him,but it was a 1 way street,he still never made an effort to be part of my life. Lucky for me Mom re married when I was 8,and that's my REAL DAD...

Sorry to hear what you are going through ICG. Be strong and you'll get through it just fine. I'm sure many of your friends can relate to what you're going through so share with them what you are feeling and know that they will help you get through it.

My parents split up when I was around 3 years old. My dad remarried when I was 6 or 7. He's still married to my step-mom who is the sweetest woman you will ever meet. I love her and her family like they were my own. Thanks to her I have two "cousins" that live near me and are close to my age. I grew up with them (they're sisters) and love them both to death. Their mother is like an aunt to me too. They're parents also split up when we were really young. Their dad is remarried and has twins.
As for my mother, she's an evil witch from Hell.

my parents got divorced when i was in 5th grade

i think its better they did
i dont like my step dad too much

i hardly live at home with my mom anymore anyway

ICG, 
I'm sorry about what you're going through. It's tough at ANY age. My parents got married in the '40s. Back then you stayed together NO MATTER WHAT. I know my parents had their problems. They often slept in separate beds. My mom died before they ever thought about divorce.

You never have to appologize for asking a question.

There are a great many people in similar situations and although that isn't comforting, perhaps you can feel less alone knowing that others have gone and are going though the same experience.

There are times where divorce is the best option for all involved including the kids.

The most important thing to remember is that your relationship to your parents has nothing to do with their relationship to each other. They will still love you even if they no longer love each other.
