I enjoy drinking to get drunk, but only on the weekends, Im responsible I dont go out on the weekdays cause i work, But on the weekends I go all out! Is this wrong?

Its only wrong if you wake up and you don't know where you are or why there's blood all over the place.Otherwise crack open another beer and pour a couple more shots of Jameson.

AG, I'm a recovering alcoholic with 5 years sober. I had to learn alot about alcoholism before I knew and could accept that I was an alcololic and get help. I can talk to you about it and give you what I know about it, but I think it'd be better if you emailed me.

You're a perfectly normal 21 year old. As long as you aren't drinking alone or everyday of the week or hiding booze around the house I don't think you have anything to worry about

it's a tough call but if you go "all out" and then drive, that is wrong...
it's also hard not to say that going "all out" is wrong...
not judging, just trying to look at it in a sensible manner...

I agree that it isn't an easy "yes or no" type of question.

There's nothing wrong with drinking in moderation, ("social drinking") so long as you don't drive afterwards.

Drinking "for the sake of getting drunk," doesn't sound all that healthy to me, especially if it's used to escape from problems. You may currently be able to confine drinking to the weekends but it might get harder to do so in the future.

It's never a bad idea to follow the old adage "moderation in all things."

If you think you drink too much then you probabally do. Just the fact that you ask this question in a post says you think you may drink too much. Try this, try not to go all out once in a while and see if you can.

Acoholism is very hard to define, every case is different. When you drink, how much you drink, these things do not determine whether or not you have a problem. Try this - go out one night, see if you can go to a bar and NOT drink. If you HAVE to drink, well...

I drink usually once a weekend and get pretty drunk, and so do most people i know my age (22), so I think its pretty normal

dont know who made it but i think thats a great idea..try not drinking at all one weekend. If your mood is lower and your miserable, youve got a problem. If its no big deal, and you dont miss it, that too will say alot.
