i think it's awesome that you want to do this underground newspaper. when i was 15 i made three issues of a zine ("a small, handmade amateur publication done purely out of passion, rarely making a profit or breaking even") called <i>teenage waste: anything, everything and nothing all at once</i>.it was basically a whole bunch of xeroxed pages filled with rants, articles, drawings,and interviews of my friends, people i met on the subway, and bands i wrote to. i had fun making it and for a while it was the only thing i looked forward to doing.<p>
you should check out these books:<p>-<u>notes from underground : zines and the politics of alternative culture by stephen duncombe</u><br>-<u>zine scene: the do it yourself guide to zines by francesca lia block and hillary carlip</u><br>-<u>zines! volume one (and two): incendiary interviews with independent publishers by v. vale</u>.<p>also, check out <a href="http://www.factsheet5.com">factsheet 5</a> and <a href="http://www.panderzinedistro.com/">pander zine distro</a>. this girl ericka (who is a total goddess) runs pander, she distributes zines right out of her home. you can go to her site and check out all the cool zines kids are making.<p>and, if you want to actually check out some zines you can go to abc no rio's <a href="http://www.abcnorio.org/zines.html">zine library</a>. it's open on fridays and saturdays.<p>as for a name for your newspaper, i don't know. anyhow, i hope this helped a bit.
