The original lineup is one of my fave bands punk or not ever , like the Ramones in halloween makeup.
"Devil-lock" is the greatest song about a hairstyle this side of "Afro Puffs".

Danzig is still touring to the best of my knowledge , though in a recent VH1 interview he looked really haggard and dishevled.

Halloween...The Misfits....I always get sentimental this time of year.

Just pulled out my copy of Misfits 1950.Think I'll go work on my Devil Lock while I listen to the CD.

Great band. One of the few bands that went from punk to hardcore w/ out being metal. After Glenn left I lost interest...Fast.

Horror Business is my all time favorite. :eg:

Sorry Kieth, youre listening to the fake Misfits. Its kinda like axl with those other people calling themselves Guns N Roses. Theyre not. I've listened to most of the post Danzig stuff and it is....it sucks. Its like watching Halloween 1 and 2, and then watching part 3.

Last Caress is a classic song re-dun by a few groups.
The "Legacy Of Brutality" albulm is easily my favorite and I recomend it to you. If you like that shit then pick up Dazigs solo stuff. Very different and better IMO. Pick up danzig 1,2 and 3 to be followed by 4. After that he changed his style of music drastically again to a much harder sound, and I cant really tell you to pick those ones up.

check this out fiends:

New DANZIG updates available at www.Danzig-Verotik.com including a couple of live New Year's shows annoucned w/ special guest Doyle.

This will be the first time Glenn and Doyle will be performing together in 20 years! This will be the closest thing to a Misfits reunion, so be sure you get your tickets early for this historic and ghoulish event.

Wadd = another MetalHead?

Sweet. I miss Eddie Trunks WNEW Headbangers ball where he'd go on way past the time he was supposed to and played what he wanted...

sigh

I'll say this; Heavy Metal remains one of the last, best genres for live, originl music; theres a lot of kick ass bands out there, even at the club level, hell at the Rehearsal Studio [Hot Dog House, Asbury Park for me] I hear through a door and go, "Holy Living Fuck what a great sound"

I will say this; that Misfits T-shirt sure the fuck has been a top sighting all these years.

it seemed to be dig up the old threads week, here.

If Keithy likes the new stuff, more power to him. There are a few people out there that do, cause they sure seem to still tour all the time.

I do like the Misfits but I would never wear a piece of Misfits aparel. It pretty much cliche, kinda like those Jesus Build My Hotrod Ministry shirts. Now that I mention it, I haven't seen one of those lately. It would be a good time to start wearing one.

And songs? My band covered Astrozombies, and did a decent job. I really like She, We Bite, Green Hell, and pretty much those mentioned above. My buddies in the Screws cover Skulls and it sounds awesome.
