A question about fainting.....

Horde King here is a question for you or anyone else who might have some info on the subject....ok so as a kid a friend of mine fainted after going to the bathroom in the middle of the nite.. spent a week in the hospital and nothing was found to be wrong with him. the doctor just said that it happens to kids in his age(12).. now.. recently(22) this has happened to him again but this time he had like 8 beers(not a lot for him at all-was not drunk).. he was taking a piss late at night and next thing he knew he was waking up on the floor with some cuts.. any ideas of why this might have happened?

Needless to say, consult an MD of course.

8 beers is more than sufficient to cause someone to faint, particularly if taken with medication that interacts with alcohol (i.e. just about all meds).

There is something known as a vasle vega (undoubtedly spelled wrong) which is basically fainting w/o ascertainable cause. I don't think it's dangerous but this is a medical matter and should be discussed with an MD
