I was sick today and was watching a lot of TV. On HBO there was a documentary about death row. I didn't get to watch the beginning of it ... I only caught about the last 20-25 minutes.
So I was wondering ... if there was a LIVE execution on TV ... would you watch?

I would watch if the guy being executed was a real a-hole. Like if it was Jihad Johnny Walker-Lindh I would watch. Or guys like that.

I would watch it on tv, I'd watch it live. Hell if the guy was getting the electric chair I would have the guy getting executed hold a bag of jiffy pop so 'd have something to eat afterwarrds.

i would definitely watch. but i wouldn't want to see the injection because that is the pussy execution. i would want to see hangings, the firing squad, and maybe even the guillotine. now those are real executions.

Hmm, considering the fact that the person was sentenced to death, chances are that they did something bad. I would absolutely watch an execution, but would prefer a method that could possibly scare other potential criminals. Something that looks completely scary, like the chair. Lethal injection, while more humane, will not have the same effect on impressionable people.

I've seen quite a bit of execution footage in the ADJ courses I took in college.
I don't exactly consider it great entertainment to watch legit executions, but I would watch it. I'm pro-death penalty, and it would be somewhat hypocritical of me to turn away and not watch the actual process.

Sell the rights to the execution to some broadcaster for scads of dough. That way they would wind-up paying for keeping the person alive up to his execution instead of the taxpayers footing the bill.

friend's father when I was
growing up had all these really
old projection films, and as it was
I saw some with my girlfriend,
because he was never home and
never knew we'd found them.
Anyway it was some really sick
stuff, in black and white, women
getting their throats slit, and one
was bludgeoned (sp?). I was
young so I had nightmares for a
really long time after that.
I'll shut up now...

i would watch. but only if it was a hanging,fireing sqaid,gas chamber or electric chair. letal injection is no fun to watch.
