Trouble with relationships...

I'm begining to see that when I get into a relationship, as soon as I get the slightest bit bored, I just stop all commmunication with the girl, until she brings it up, and I break up with her.

Is there something pstchologically blocking me from getting to truly know the person. Because as soon as I get bored, is usualy around the time the try to really get close to me and I just blank them out.

SLEEPYEYED - From your description it's not boredom you're fleeing, it's commitment. This is apparant b/c your pattern is to wait until she tries to get close to you before you break up with her. If the culprit were boredom, you'd end the relationship when you first experienced it.

Have you been in bad relationships before? Have you been hurt in a relationship or by a family member? That could explain your behavior.

Well now that you mention it, there were some lousy relationships in the past. Thanks Horde King! You just saved me a couple hundred bucks from taking a session with a pencil necked psychiatrist. <P>
