Some common questions about board parties answered below:
1. If a member of this board decides to have a party for his/her birthday and posts it on the board then shouldn't every member be welcome?
Sure. Just get permission before posting the event, so it doesn't seem like spamming. If we allowed everyone to post thier events, we'd have night club promoters announcing "DJ Boom Boom" at Club Exit this Saturday filling Off Topic.
2. If a person posts a thread for a party on ronfez.net is it then not okay to post it anywhere else? (i.e. opieanthony.com, wackbag.com etc.)
We have no relationship with thier boards. Just don't use our name (RonFez.Net).
3. Does the person whose birthday it is have the right to tell someone they are not welcome to a posted party?
When you post publically on the board you open up Pandora's Box. Yes, it is your right, but you're going to have to deal with the people who ignore you and crash.
4. If someone decides to have a private party (NOT a board party) for people he/she considers friends does anyone have the right to complain?
Everyone has the right to complain. Doesn't make them right or wrong. They DON'T have the right to complain on the board though.
5. Are banned members not welcome at unofficial parties? What if they are invited by the person hosting the party?
Any parties not run by us are not under our jurisdiction. It is up to the host to decide who can/cannot come.
