I wanted to know if an official post could be made stating why certain members have been banned, and what posts they made for the reason behind the banning. It would be beneficial for new/old members to see what examples of improper posting is on the board, since it seems that the rules are bent to the whims of the owners/moderators.

From the Disclaimer:

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violate of any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or this site.

I've seen all of these rules violated time and time again on the board without punishment, so understanding where the boundaries are seems to have been converted into fuzzy logic. Maybe by clarifying the rules and/or making them more cogent, or better yet declaring a "Zero Tolerance" policy, would be advantageous for the owners and the members.

This is the owners board - that is a fact. They govern what goes on, and that is understood, but since the board is about "The Ron and Fez Radio Show", which itself has topics and discussions that if they were placed on the message board, would be banned from the message board. This doesn't make sense. Please clarify.

I've always enjoyed "Man With Desk next To Al Dukes" posts, even if the post was misinformed or a little rude. So what? Is everyone THAT sensitive about being insulted or abused? When was he banned, Why did it happen, and What did he post in order to be banned from the board?

The policy is to address the person privately when they are banned. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Offending threads are removed from the board.

With that said, yes, we know rules are broken. And an upstanding of the board will get leniency if it's a first offense. Often, a thread will be left open to allow users to comment, but the person is talked to privately via e-mail or IMs.

If you have a question about something you are about to or did do, you can contact one of us. If you do that, I can guarentee leniency because you stepped up to the plate.

We will not comment on bannings, but if you were involved in any way, then you can address us about the issue.

Moving to MO.

As policy, we do not discuss bannings of other members, as each matter is privately decided upon by the mods. We all decide the right course of action, and if any of you have met our kind and friendly mods, you would know how fair we are. We vote democratically on every banning, tabulating votes based on the users behavior and what we can expect from him in the future.
