the recent events in israel have triggered a new kind of anger in me. Just a frustration at the human spirit, and how quick theyu are to blame all their troubles on everyone else.

the palestinians blame the israelis, who blame them back. the arabs blame the USA, who blame them. My mom blames my dad, my dad blames my mom. Kyle's mom blames terrance and phillip. canada blames the bladwins.

when does it freakin end?

maybe if people would stop blaming each ohter and look at themselves for once, things might get done. In the end, the only thing that you can change is yourself.

so you might say to that "fuck it! if i change he's gonna win." why are you so concerned about ohter people? worry about yourself. Its not like things are going so good now. there's an endless cycle of blame and retaliation reflected in countries but living in the hearts of all people

just get over yourself people!

My frustration and anger over the palestinian problem is that Israel, (and the rest of the world) should have killed every last one of those murderous wastes of space a long time ago.)

Then again the two most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity....

It also pisses me off when I see the soverign territory of Israel being referred to as "Occupied Territories". They are no more "occupied" than America.

An old saying goes, "it is easy to blame something than it is to correct a situation..."

The blame game is something that has been going on for as long as there have been human beings on this Earth. Religious zealots make it a lot easier to blame things in Isreal than they do to correct it. BUT, lets face the facts, The Isrealis have been defending themselves since they became an official nation in 1948. They kind of have the old Soviet Union mentality of "buffer states". Areas that would take the blows first in a war before the mainland. And this is a county that has tried repeatedly to amend the situation there.

What does Isreal want?? Not to be attacked anymore. What do the Palestinians want?? The land they feel they were cheated out of in the division of the land in 1947. If you really wanna blame somebody for this whole mess it should be the English. They divised up the plans following WW2, and then just left...Nothing like the jolly old english to start something then leave it when they really needed them.

Why does the US take a lot of flack for the whole situation there?? We basically feed Isreal, and they get frustrated at our efforts cause one year ( or presidency, whichever comes first) we are totally balls to the wall pro-Isreal. The next we are negotiating with the Arabs. It drives the Isrealis nuts cause to them either pick one side or the other. Small little fact, take a look at the nations that fought in Gulf War 1991. Isreal's name is no where to be found, and they wanted to help out in the worst way. That situation was a brilliant stroke of diplomatic genius, and a military blunder at the same time...

As to the rest of what you wrote, just see the top. It is more comfortable for some people to blame things then to actually fix it. I mean I really never knew to check out a porno site till I saw Bill O' Reilly the other night (whitehouse.com). And this was on a report on "how easy it is for children to get internet porn". So who is to blame on this facet?? is it the internet, Bill OReilly, or the parents who can easily filter what there child does/doesnt see?? Lets be realistic though, we as a nation are too immature for sex. I mean it is rare to have a serious sexual discussion without someone breaking into a smirk. We as a nation are such prudes one minute, perverts the next. Here is another situation where it is easy to blame so and so...The blame game has been going on for a long time and will continue to happen. What you have to do is find the middle gorund to any situation. Hear what one side says, hear what the other says, then draw up your own conclusion from that. It will make the blame game that much easier to understand.

It also pisses me off when I see the soverign territory of Israel being referred to as "Occupied Territories". They are no more "occupied" than America.

Here's the text of UN Resolution 242, (taken from the Israeli government's Foreign Ministry website), which still stands as the legal status of the territories occupied since the 1967 war.

U.N. Security Council Resolution 242
November 22, 1967
Following the June '67, Six-Day War, the situation in the Middle East was discussed by the UN General Assembly, which referred the issue to the Security Council. After lengthy discussion, a final draft for a Security Council resolution was presented by the British Ambassador, Lord Caradon, on November 22, 1967. It was adopted on the same day.
This resolution, numbered 242, established provisions and principles which, it was hoped, would lead to a solution of the conflict. Resolution 242 was to become the cornerstone of Middle East diplomatic efforts in the coming decades.

The Security Council,
Expressing its continuing concern with the grave situation in the Middle East,
Emphasizing the inadmissibility of the acquisition of territory by war and the need to work for a just and lasting peace in which every State in the area can live in security,
Emphasizing further that all Member States in their acceptance of the Charter of the United Nations have undertaken a commitment to act in accordance with Article 2 of the Charter,
1. Affirms that the fulfillment of Charter principles requires the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East which should include the application of both the following principles:
o Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict;
o Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgement of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force;
2. Affirms further the necessity
o For guaranteeing freedom of navigation through international waterways in the area;
o For achieving a just settlement of the refugee problem;
o For guaranteeing the territorial inviolability and political independence of every State in the area, through measures including the establishment of demilitarized zones;
3. Requests the Secretary General to designate a Special Representative to proceed to the Middle East to establish and maintain contacts with the States concerned in order to promote agreement and assist efforts to achieve a peaceful and accepted settlement in accordance with the provisions and principles in this resolution;
4. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the Security Council on the progress of the efforts of the Special Representative as soon as possible.

this tendency to blame others is not something to accept. we have the power to change it. we just refuse to. but don't be afraid to. Instead of calling people out for their misdeeds and cowering behing a shield of hate (because hate is for cowards) STAND UP!! see what you can do, and don't blame others, even if you honestly believe its their fault. It does no good and only creates more hate, which we have enough of already.

so hk, what you're saying is: "it doesn't matter what the world says, we're gonna do what we want" The UN is there for a reason, what gives Israel, the US, Iraq, afghanistan, or any country the right to ignore it and not expect conseqences?
