ok, so as you may or may not know, I work in a pretty medium size Corporation(500 people in my building)

about a couple weeks ago this new girl got hired in another department in my division.

So, luck for me I work oftern with her boss and have been able to BS with her when I am in her area.

Anyway... I have refrained from flirting with her completely becuase of the Companies Sexual Harassment policies.

(My company is very sensitive to this subject mattter)

Anyway, talking with her and shit I think she is really cool, very smart, and of coarse she is gorgeous.

I think I would have a really good shot with her if I could take her out some time, but there is NO WAY I could just go up to her and ask her out on a date (I would probably get in lot of trouble or get fired if I did that and she felt uncomfortable by it)

So... I am trying to find a loop hole... trying to find a way to go out with her by making it look innocent.

Has anyone been in this position before??? Any suggestions on how to handle it???

oh yeah couple other things:

I can't just meet up with her in a group for happy hour or something with other employees... cause NO ONE in my company does that (yes... we are the most boring Company in the world)

Oh... and not only is she one of the FEW women that work here, but one of the few attractive, so all day married men walk by her and flirt but cover it up by saying they are married... really aweful... and the last thing I want to be is just another guy coming up to her with some shitty fake bullshit.

anyway thanks for the hel[

being able to bullshit already is a good thing. if you can bring up movies somehow and be like i totally want to see that. if she's like yeah i wanna see that too be like you wanna go see it? this isn't you just coming out and hitting on her, you guys were innocently talking about a movie you want to see and you asked her if she wanted to go. also since all the guys there are married you can make a joke about how you're like the only one not married who works there, which makes you look good.

i've never had to deal with that sexual harrasment stuff, that must suck ass. but asking someone to a movie when you are talking about it doesn't seem to bad. plus panic room just came out so as long as she hasn't seen it you're the money.

good luck though man

Find some nice little restaurant near your job and ask her if she's been there cause you were thinking of checking it out, then ask her if she wants to go to lunch with you. Nothing more innocent than 2 co-workers going out to lunch together. Then take it from there...

The problem with trying to kick it to a girl who works with you is that if it doesn't work out you STILL have to work with her. Ask yourself if it's worth it.

I have spoken....Behold me.

I think it would totally be innocent if you asked her if she wanted to go check out a restaurant nearby for lunch one day. Then maybe during the conversation at lunch, bring up movies, pool, or bowling. If she likes any of those activities, suggest maybe going out one night doing those things and go from there.

Synthfiend does bring up a good point. Do you really want to put yourself through the bs if you guys happen to hit it off then further down the road end up breaking up? I can only imagine how uncomfortable that would be, and if she is a bitch how she could spread false information about you to other co-workers. You might want to protect the sanity in your workplace (if there is any). If you don't you might suffer ungodly consequences.

ivy's advice is probably the best and safest idea. you could also get a group of friends together to see a new movie and ask her if she would like to ask a coule of friends if they'd like to go and see the movie. then there would be enough people around that there shouldn't be any problems.

I agree with Zathrus-- group outings are better and SHE might even suggest that the two of you do something afterwards. How about a sporting event? You can always see if she wants to check out a baseball game with you. That's innocent enough.

GOOD LUCK.

A whole bunch of bunchies!
