Hot hippie chicks? HOT? Which movie were you watching, cuz they didn't seem all that appealing to me. Granted I'm a girl so I have a different perspective, but I can appreciate a pleasant female form when I see one... and there wasn't one in that movie that I can recall. 'Course I haven't seen it for about 8 years, so my memory could be faulty... but I doubt it. ;)

But Billy Jack did kick ass... though he wouldn't have seemed as tough without the black hat with the cool hatband.

As long as they don't do any "wire work". I'm heading the BACKLASH against "wire work".

Save the "wire work" for the surreal movies about ancient Chinese mythology or sci-fi films. Don't use the "wire" in 'realistic' films. Don't use "wire work" when a guy is ordering a ham sandwich... or mowing his lawn. Use it in spurts...

"Billy Jack" got me thinking about "The Legend Of Billy Jean". Another HORRIBLE movie that I always would watch when it came on.

The scene where Yeardley Smith thinks she's shot but then realizes she just had her first period...?!?!?

Yeardly Smith was even hotter as "Lisa Simpson"... wha... oh...um...

They really should've done a new Billy Jack movie about 5 years ago when Tarantino was bringing back those old movies on video and was working with Fred Williamson, etc.

"I'm gonna kick you with this
foot, on that side of your
face and there's nothing you
can do about it."
I think that's the quote anyway.
Movies to grow up to,
particularly if you were a
student of the Arts, looking
for a white to kick ass, and
found Chuck Norris entirely to
hairy.

Again, I am
Farshadowed...

"...and lo, he did take the
aloe lotion, and with a glint
in his eye, apply it to his
spear farshadowed..."

Homer anyone?

I really enjoyed "Lone Wolf McQuade", though. Maybe I'm sick in the head.

Tom Laughlin Diagnosed With Cancer
By The Associated Press,

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Brawny actor Tom Laughlin, best known as the karate-kicking rebel from the ``Billy Jack'' cult movies, has been diagnosed with cancer that is inoperable because of a heart condition.

The 72-year-old star of the 1970s-era action-thrillers ``Billy Jack'' and ``The Trial of Billy Jack'' plans to visit clinics in Florida, Texas and Boston to seek alternate treatments for the cancer at the base of his tongue.

``It's a real mystery because he doesn't smoke or drink or do anything that would have caused this,'' family friend and spokeswoman Layne Wilson said Friday.

Doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center told the actor they could not operate on the cancer because he has a serious heart condition that makes surgery too risky.

An angiogram showed one of Laughlin's arteries is completely clogged, while the others are 75 percent and 60 percent clogged.

Laughlin planned to undergo aggressive chemotherapy through an implant in his chest and throat, but cardiologists warned that his heart might not withstand the treatment, Wilson said.

The actor who played the half-Indian vigilante in the Billy Jack films lives near Santa Barbara with his wife and frequent co-star, Delores Taylor.

His other films include the 1975 John Wayne police drama ``Brannigan,'' 1978's detective-thriller ``The Big Sleep'' and the 1994 sci-fi adventure ``No Escape.''
