Well Heckler since you are the king of old school I would go with Doom2...this game came out before all the soccer moms noticed what little Tommy was playing. The cover was awsome, and deceiving at the same time. You saw a guy fighting a demon, who is the ultimate symbol of the devil. So the parents bought it...only to learn you killed everything to get to the true devil...NAZI's...doom2 Kicks ass all the way Heckler

While not terrificly gory, I'd have to say Grand theft auto 3 is the most violent, simply because you can do ANYTHING you want; murder old women, run over prostitutes after you've fucked them to get your money back, shot gun cops, whatever.

a guy in work used to have a game called CARMAGEDDON(i think)
you get to run people over in the street and leave a trail of flesh and blood...
if you hit them when you were doing a 360 or something you got extra points...
then you could go out in a field and start smashing into cows, bigger mounds/trails of flesh and blood...
never heard him laugh so hard...

Soldier of Fortune; it has head shots that take off the guys heads, you an shoot off their arms and legs, even shoot them in the nuts, it's a great game, it's out for PS2 but the Dreamcast version is better, the PS2 controls are very difficult

I would give max payne a nod as well. Nothn better than blasting some ginny mafioso with a sawed offed shot gun. It has some disturbing scenes in it as well.
GTA is great because the un fettered random violence you can do.
Red Faction's multi player game is fun to play. After been hit with ammo you leave a blood spray on the wall. Ad when you off someone you leave a little pool of blood behind. Nice

The goriest I've ever seen is a little-known game that came out about 3-4 years ago for PlayStation, called B.I.O.F.R.E.A.K.S. It was a fighting game, taking place in a secluded, dark arena. Genetically mutated freaks went at it until one of them was limbless/decapitated/disfigured beyond recognition. It was great because some of them had helicopter propellors and lawnmower blades for hands. As with all my fighting games, I eventually got sick of it and sold it for beer money, which sucks because I think they took it off the market or something and I don't know where I would find it again. <P> <P>

Thrill kill had 3 versions and was finished, i own the finished version or better known as Beta Final. It isn't as good as the Beta where anything goes everything is so gorey and involves one thrill kill that involves sodemy via cattle prod up da ass. Thats the next version i'm getting next.
