HordeKing,

This you may find a little wierd but it's something I've been pondering on and off about for some time...

When a man has to urinate and has an erection or is almost fully erect, why does he not feel the sensation that he feels when he ejaculates... to me they are the same in the fact that you are erect and there is a liquid passing out of the penis...
this is probably very silly but I had this thought that the tails of the sperm are actually tickling the nerve endings inside the head of the penis...

I'm sure there should be a logical explanation...

Thanks for your time!

FUNKMAN - It's not a weird question at all.

There are sphincter muscles at the base of the bladder/top of the prostate, and another one at the bottom of the prostate. To urinate both have to be relaxed, to ejaculate, the one by the bladder clamps shut and the sphincter by the prostate contracts and relaxes rapidly to squeeze the semen out.

This makes it very difficult to urinate and ejaculate at the same time. (Most men just can't pee when fully errect).

During urination, there is no reflexive contraction or relaxation of either sphincter hence no orgasmic feeling.

BTW, sperm doesn't tickle the nerve endings inside the head of the penis. The orgasmic response is controled by the sphincter muscle and it is that you feel when orgasming, not ticklish sperm!

Most men can't pee when fully erect? I dunno about you, but I can. Still, it's a pain in the ass when you wake up with a huge boner and you have to urinate six feet away from the toilet because you can't get it pointed down. Inevitably, you have to do a mop-up job because you only got about half of your whizz in the pot. I suppose that's another advantage to erection-pointing-down-when-you-get-older effect.

FAN - Yes, it is unusual. Does your errection persist througout the entire urination or does it diminish at all?

Oh, it doesn't happen all the time, very rarely, in fact. But every once in a while I wake up with one of those "super boners" and a desperate desire to urinate. The erection lasts for a while and "deflates" after urination, not during.
