Do you do them yourself, or have them prepared?
I always go to an accountant. I don't trust myself to do them right. Ever since i started to have them prepared, my returns have been oh so nice.

I do em myself on the web. But I'm single, dont own a house, or have any assets, so my return is pretty straightforward. This year i got back $950! And by doing it over the web, I paid $20 and got my refund direct deposited in 3 days.

I did mine myself on the web last year, as my family's accountant died...
I guess I'll be doing them the same way this year, probably tomorrow....gotta stop putting that stuff off...
Thanks to Hosp for the Idea:

In the past, I had my parents' accountant do them, since I was their dependant anyway. But this year I did the e-file thing through H&R Block, and it was really easy. I almost enjoyed it, putting the numbers in and seeing how much money I was going to get back. But then, like Missy, my return is pretty simple, so maybe e-file isn't for everyone.

Always do them myself. This year after changing jobs, I owe, because I forgot to adjust my W-4 info. Should get back a nice little chunk next year, though.

My accountant passed away last summer. I'm a last min. person, so I've been makeing a lot of phone calls. Everyones too busy or don't return my call. But then I called this guy last nite around 7pm and he laughed at me, so when I told him that my accountant died he asked if I owed, when I told him no , he said I have 3 yrs to file if they owe you. I didn't know that! I have an app. next wed. at 3 cool. F the 15th.

Ditto
I have never owed. I always get $$$ back. Last year I went to Jackson Hewitt to see how they were. Too expensive. This year I went to some guy in Union City,NJ and he did it for $45!!! Hopefully I'll get allot back so I could feed my family. Wolves are very picky eaters.

I'm fiscally irresposible, so I make the trek to H & R Block every year.

I always have done mine and my family's taxes. Usually I try to have them done by The end of Feb and out of the way. This year I am doing them Sat but then again I do not owe anything.
Well another day gone and the beer needs to be flowing again
