I love to cook, and have some favourite dishes to prepare for friends and family.

Who here on the board appreciates GREAT food, but also loves to be in the kitchen cooking it?

Going out to dinner is one of my favorite activities....A nice bottle of wine or 2, good food and good company is a great time to me....

I love to cook also, no baked goods but I can cook regular food.

I don't "cook" -- I "heat".

Thank God for the microwave and the Foreman Grill.

I cook to relieve stress. I cook a
LOT. I just find it easier than
going out and premade food is
nasty.

I LOVE to cook, and I'm good at it too. My personal best recipe is for Vodka sauce, but I can make a lot of stuff.

Oh, and I make a better grilled cheese than any of you.

I like to cook, but I'm cooking for just me most of the time, so I don't do extravagant meals. Mostly "meat and potatoes"-type stuff. Beef Bourguignon for everyone!

I love to cook. Its cool to show some love to your family & friends this way, its kinda personal like a gift you make from scratch.
I can cook food from countries all over & chicks dig that!
versatile baby! versatile!

" Great Topic Elle Quinn. I just graduated from the FRENCH CULINARY INSTITUTE this past September. Cooking is one of my loves. It's so cool to watch my friends pig out on dishes that they never had before. When we get the"munchies" at my house, it gets pretty nice. There's nothing wrong w/ grilled rosemary, dijon lamb chops and saute'ed wild spinach w/ mushrooms at 3 o'clock in the morning. Is there??"......

Hey, Congrats Scooter!

Do you have any restaurants that you hope to work at one day? Or perhaps you'll open your own, "Chez Scooter"!!

There are some chefs ( Pastry, sous chefs, ) on my mother's side of the family, but my Culinary "training" is limited by comparison. I just paid attention to what they were doing, and have a passion for cooking since.

I do love to eat cereal or for dinner, and there is nothing like cold pizza for breakfast!

I learned how to cook from my grandfather at an early age. Anything Italian is a no brainer and I try to experiment with new stuff every now and then.

I cook, it's not my favorite thing
to do. Baking on the other hand,
is one of my favorite. I'll make up
reasons to bake something,
anything. The strangest thing is
that i won't eat my own baking,
but everyone who receives what
i bake loves it and can't atop
raving about it.

For every ying there must be a yang.

With so many of you enjoying cooking, it's a good thing I enjoy eating!

I also defrost a mean meatloaf.

i love to cook. cooking is my true passion. The act of creation, the attention to detail, the creativity, the chemistry, the impact an amazing meal can have on someone.

scooter - i would like to hear more about your experiences at the FCI. I am in the process of appling to the Culinary Institute of America for the fall. its rather scary changing careers at 30 so I have my hestiatations. but when i think about what could come about by taking that risk, I know i have to do it.

I still live at home with my parents so I cook when I can get the kitchen to myself. I can cook pretty much anything and whatever I experiment with has come out pretty decent. Aya, I cook also to relieve stress. It's very relaxing. I love to watch the Food Network! The Iron Chef, Good Eats, and Emeril are some of my favs. I miss the two fat ladies.
