I like mine, but i've recently had a conversation with some one who hates their first name.

I say just change it. But i was just wondering, is everyone satisfied with their name?

I used to *HATE* my name when I was growing up. All the other kids could get cool personalized license plates for their bikes and other fun stuff with their names on it. They never ever had "Petrina." ("Come along, Bort.")

Now I like my name. It's different.

Well, if we're talking about my board name, I kinda wish it were different, or at least I had picked a different one for the song parody stuff. But my real name I'm very happy with. When I was a kid, it was a bit annoying that nobody knew it and had to hear it twice everytime (plus teachers would always mangle it when taking attendance - I knew my name was next when the teacher would pause), but now I take pride in the fact that it's unusual.

as a kid, i hated my name (margaret) only because it seems as though only old people had my name. i still don't love it, but it's my name. i usually go by maggie now tho.

The only problem I have with my name is that people spell it wrong. Some use a K, and some just get the entire thing wrong (one person at work keeps forgetting my name!).

i like my name, but when i was younger i also had the problem with the personalized stuff. the thing that really used to get me was that i have a name that is also a boy's name, and they would have personalized things for the boy spelling, but not for me. that always made me so mad

I use to dislike my name. I've since grown to appreciate my first name (Matt), but I'm still not fond of my last name.

Probably cause I don't get along with my family, and thus don't like to be reminded that I'm part of them.

I like my name; Im named after county Clare in Ireland. the name Claire or clare means light as in sunlight which is cool. Growing up I always wished I had a nickname but theres really no reason to shorten a one syslabell word. Growing up I knew very few Clares my age but my name has become more popular recently. The are alot more younger girls named clare than in my generation. But growing up there was never any personalized plates for me. Also everyone always spells my name wrong. In fact its so common I dont even correct it anymore when people spellit wrong.
I have 2 middle names; one my mothers maiden name Fogerty and the other Andromeda cause my parents were on lots of drugs. I really love my middle name. I think its perdy..
