Ferall's meltdown... what next? [Archive]

Scott Ferall melted down on the air yesterday, and the show was in "best-of" mode today.

The subject has become somewhat verboten, with both O&A and R&F making veiled references to it.

The question is, if Opie is right - and Ferall's on his way out (damn shame too, because I liked him), who then goes into the Morning Menudo show?

Ron and Fez used to be a morning show... but to be honest, I think R&F are a lot better at night than during the day.

I think they are much better at night!

But when they switched, the got rid of "Big Ass of the Day" ... maybe they can bring it back and name it "Big Ass of the Night"?

Everyone knows that Infinity will never put a succesful show like Ron and Fez up against Howard Stern. That's why they have this "sports guys" format. I like the Menudo reference, it's perfect! Only jocks who would sell their soul to be in NYC would even consider doing a show like that...especially up against Stern. But I digress...As much as Ron and Fez Dot Com (late nights) fit into my schedule better, I'd rather see things stay just as they are and if Ferell has to be replaced, any Joe Blow can do that crap. Come to think of it...maybe Don and Mike would like to try, and we could finally get rid of them. DONT F WITH A GOOD THING!!!

It's sort of like a "Sacrificial Lamb" timeslot. My guess is that they'll bring a middle market personality from somewhere like Ohio in.

He'll last 3 months then it'll all start again.

It's a shame because Stern's act is getting old and tired.

I love ferrall. He's great to his fans, and is very cool to talk to.

I listened when he was "on the bench" pouring cold ones. He's a god! He's da man.

Breakdowns...we all have them. Its good he's back. I even called in this morn to talk about the isles. (they suck.)

Gee, i'm whoring my self now on all these shows.

I'm happy to see him back. Hey we're all human and we can have bad days too. He's having some family issues, give the guy some slack. Lent, it's ok to be a radio whore! I called this morning too, to welcome him back and then I bitched about how I hate the YES network and I want my Tech TV back!

yeah they were worse then AIDS, worse then UPS, worse then the NJ Transit system (yes i too was stuck on that 2-3 hour long delay tonight) but i hope ron and fez don't move to mornings, i'll never hear them again, i'm a college student i don't get up till 10:30 am :P

What exactly happened to Ferral on the air?
I love R&F just where they are right now. Anyone on this board knows I hate Stern, but I wouldn't call him a pussy for not allowing competition. If R&F went head to head agaisnt Stern, it would split the ratings and it does neither show any good.

I wish R&F would bring back the "Big Ass of the Day", that was a great bit. I like R&F at night, because it's the only time I am able to listen to the show. If Ferall ever leaves, WNEW should make Joe Poo (who? :]) the new sports show host.
