I tried to take my lady to GA today for a little fun. $45 a fucking ticket. That's 90 bucks for two people plus $10 for parking. You spend $100 before you even step foot into the park, on an pre-season Sunday on a extemely overcast day.
The park isn't even that great. I mean it's no Disney World/Epcot. Where do they get off charging so much?

the epitome of masculinity (yeah right)
I dunno, I usually have a good time at Great Adventure. Go on a nice day mid-week and you're golden. Get season tickets, use a coupon or a "twicket" and it's much more cost effective. Just don't buy one of those stupid hats and wear it around all day. Don't be "that guy."

Thanks to Gameguy for the sigpic!
That's why I do the season pass. $70, I went about 8 times last year, and it gave me something to do when I had no plans.

you could've went to dinner, got a bottle of wine, a 20 bag, and rented a movie with popcorn for the money it took to just get in.

GA is definetly not disney, but Disney is MUCH more expensive than that. I went just to MGM last fall and even with discounts it was a nice chunk of change.
The best thing to do with GA is get a season pass. It pays for itself in like 2 trips. I used to live about a half hour away and went all the time just for a few hours. No i go once during pre season, usually twice during the summer, and once for Fright Fest.

Yes but doing this comparison is like comparing Hamburger to Filet Mingion. You just cant do it, and besides Disney Tickets are about the same price, but when you buy consecutive day passes the price actually lessens. For example buy a one day ticket and it costs you about 45 dollars. But if you buy for two days it is actually like 41 a tick, three day and is like 38, etc...you get more parks for your buck with Disney too...

That sucks Jeff, too bad I didn't know you were going, my Dad is selling one time tickets for $27.00 a piece and season passes for $73.00 a piece. If you want to go again, let me know before May 26th, that's when he stops selling them. The tickets are also good until Nov. 2002.

The reason they charge so much is because they're the closest thing the Tri-State area has to Disney World. I did a great cover of the Beach Boys' Cocomo there.
