I believe in them...i have 3 ghosts storys that are a bit to long to type out. Either next time you see me ask me about them or i'll take the time to type them up.
I'm so lazy, but the stories are all true and worth hearing.

I catch them all the time with my Nikon 950. Digital Cameras are better than SLR or 35MM because D-Cameras use a magnetic field to capture the image where as a regular camera uses film. If you have a digital camera look for "ORBS" (for a definition http://www.ghostweb.com/orbs.html)
They are cirular in shape and look like they are full of mist. You can't see them with the naked eye but trust me they're their. Another thing you can use is an EMF meter. EMF=Electro Magnetic Field.
This thing emits a loud noise when it senses activity within the field. Also those small digital voice recorders are great for recording weird sounds. Once again because of the magnetic feild. Hope this helps you guys. I am an official Ghost Hunter. Hey I paid $20 bucks, you would brag too.

I have a great ghost story, its true.
But like Pantera, its so damn long.
It was an evil ghost, and did not want me in my friends house at all.
The temperature of the room changed about 20 degrees where the presense was moving. Thats all I can say right now, still freaks me out. Anyone else have that temperature contrast?

::dusting off thread for Halloween::

I've heard stories about my great-grandparents house while they were alive. Also, I think I saw my grandfather after he died. My mom said that when I was a toddler, I'd tell her about a man with a monkey, or some other unusual pet...he was possibly a relative I'd never met. I've never had the temperature change thing but, while my grandmother passed in her bed, something wouldn't let me in the room during the final process...that was freaky. I'd like to use a Ouija board in a cemetery. Anyone care to join?

Yes. I think my dead mom pops in once in a while. One year on the anniversary of her death, my husband was lying on the floor in front of the tv-I don't remember what he said, but a statue of an angel flew off the tv a good three feet and nearly got him in the head. I put the statue back on the tv and we sat on the couch kind of half giggling and half freaked out saying it was probably the vibrations from the tv when I noticed the statue had turned all the way around and was facing the wall.

The apartment building I lived in in Paris was a couple hundred years old, and a couple strange things would happen. In the inner courtyard, there was an old, old elevator, one where you had to pull the grated door close and push a giant lever to get it ot go up or down. This thing would go off all the time. You'd hear the door slide shut and the pull of the lever, but if you looked out, nobody was in the elevator as it went up or down. And at the bottom of the courtyard, there was a big cellar everyone used for storage. The doors were like those big storm doors slong the sides of farmhouses, and every few days, no matter what the season, the things would just burst open suddenly, with nobody pushing or pulling on either side. Sure, both could be explained away "naturally", but they were still creepy.

SOCCORMOM - Safe bet to say that your mom didn't like her son in law? Was that why she was aiming for his head and showing him her butt?

yeeessss well..... getting back on track, i have difficultly believing in ghosts. Although there have been odd occurances in my new apartment, i hesitate on jumping on the ghost band wagon.
i've never seen one.

I'm open to the possibility that ghosts exist. Who's to say that we don't leave something of ourselves behind when we shuffle off of this mortal coil?
When I was a small child, a toddler, my mother would hear me talking to someone in my room. When she asked who I was conversing with, I told her "the lady comes and talks to me". I have no recollecting of this, but it freaks me out to this day....
My mother also swears that days after my grandfather (her father-in-law) died, she would see him pacing the floor of his house like he used to when he was alive.
And my neighbor had a son in his early twenties....when I was about 3 or 4, he was killed in a car accident. I remember it vaguely, because this young man was always friendly to me. Years later, though, my neighbor's grandson - the deceasd man's nephew - swore that when he stayed over at my neighbor's house, he would hear his dead uncle calling to him.
Spooky shit.
Art Bell is great to listen to. I don't believe any of the shit I hear on the show, but if you get drunk or stoned and listen to it late at night? It can fuck with you. I find TooL's "Faaip de Oiad" to be fucking scary as hell.
