U.S. bomb kills 4 Canadian soldiers

WASHINGTON, April 18 - Four Canadian soldiers who were participating in a night training exercise in Afghanistan were killed Thursday when a U.S. fighter pilot, mistakenly believing he was under attack, dropped at least one 500-pound laser-guided bomb, U.S. military officials told NBC News. Eight other Canadian soldiers were injured, Canadian officials said.

The situation in Afghanistan has been overlooked as of late. The troops that are there are still in harm's way; our thoughts and prayers need to be with them.

Friendly Fire is a horrible occurrence that strikes every soldier over there down to the core oh his/her heart. Believe me.

i'll be honest, the way the war is being covered is pissing me off. someone like rooster who has served, or someone who has lost someone is still into what's going on, but the media is printing about how britney and justin broke up.

ron and fez keep talking about how everyone's forgetting, and it's true. there is a war going on, and the media is downplaying it. i know everyone has to get back to living life but this isn't over, and we have to stop trivializing everything.

my heart goes out to those fighting for freedom, and i will never forget what happened, for it gave me a pride in my country i have never had before.
