Horde King, do you believe in the concept of a perosn being in a funk?? And by a funk I mean in various things...lack of women, lack of sleep, lack of motivation, etc...
For my personal self I feel I have been in a sort of funk since about August...I dont smile the way I used too. I am not as happy as I used to be. Hell, I find myself looking back on the last few years past on this date and reminiscing on that...is this what some people would call a funk?? Is there a defintion for that?? If so, I have been so worn down by it, and I hate it

I look a lot to when two years ago when I was in full control of my life, and I changed it all for a career change...(actually is more that I wish not to post here). Anyways is it possible for people to go into funks?? And if so...how the hell do they get out of it?? I have friends that would normally run up to me, but I guess my attitude is so crumy, they avoid me....please help

DOOGIE - Yes people get into funks or bad moods or depressions and usually they are an entirely normal part of life.

You report feeling this way since August which is 8 months. That's a long time for a funk to last, and it heads into the question of whether you have some depressive disorder.

This diagnosis can only be made clinically but particularly telling is the fact that you recognize that this is not a normal state of being for you (probably because of the time frame). I'd suggest at the minimum that you consult a shrink or therapist to ascertain clinically what is going on. Be sure to tell him or her all the medications you're on, b/c many of them have adverse effects on mood.

You mention some type of crises. If you'd like to talk about it in private, e-mail me.
