i like that astronaught freeze dried iced cream, its vanillia/strawberry/chocolate. but i can only get it at the Smithsonian museum in DC. if anyone knows any websites where u can order this astronaught freeze dried ice cream, please tell me.

Great Topic! My favorite hands down has to be chocolate chip cookie dough! The Ben&Jerry kind. There is no substitue!

A few months ago, I fell in love with Haagen Daaz' Bailey's ice cream. It was Baileys Irish Cream and coffee flavors. mmmmmm. Now I find out it was just a limited edition!!! It's really ruined me for all other flavors. I hope it comes back soon.

ANytime I go to a real Chinese Restaurant I get Pistachio.

Baskin Robbins I get Rocky Road. If it is the bottom of the barrel, I'll try the flavor of the month.

My favorite Ice Cream is the WWF Ice Cream bar. Almost impossible to find anymore. They used to always have them on the Mr. Softee trucks, but none have had them this year.

seriously, its like no contest.rocky road is by far the masterpiece of the ice cream world. It has chocolate, it has nuts and it has marshmallows... what the hell more can a person ask for? Coffee.  I don't drink the stuff but I love the flavor.  Growing up in RI, we used to get coffee syrup to add to our milk and the McDonald's all sold coffee shakes.

I heard somewhere that R.I was the only state where coffee, not vanilla or chocolate was the #1 ice cream flavor. Isn't that coffee milk stuff the official state beverage?

I like Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough, but to be fair, it's more about the raw cookie dough than the ice cream.

Cold Stone's Cake Batter ice cream is pretty fantastic -- even without any delicious bits of goodness (e.g., broken up Butterfingers, etc.) thrown in.

Currently, it's Wegman's Super Premium in either Dark Chocolate, Coconut Mango or Peanut Butter Cup.

This is a store brand, so it's consistently cheaper than both Haagen Dazs and Ben & Jerry's and, because it's Wegman's, it's very good.

I also like their Super Premium sorbet.

Also on the "like very much so I buy it when it's on sale" list of "super premium" flavors are Ben & Jerry's Willie Nelson's Peach Cobbler, Ben & Jerry's Dublin Mudslide, Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Macadamia and Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Strangely enough, I am also partial to their "Vanilla for a Change" and I usually loathe vanilla ice cream.

For "regular" ice cream, I'm partial to Edy's Double Churned Rocky Road and Turkey Hill's "Light" Moose Tracks.

But, my favorite plain, nothing-added-to-it flavor of all time is strawberry.

And I love sea-salt caramel candies.

When Starbucks was promoting its "Starbucks Select" hot chocolate this winter, they had a sea-salt caramel flavor ... which tasted like chocolate-covered pretzels (another favorite junk food) ... soooo good. Sooooo bad for you. (I soooo didn't care.)

Buying it, on the other hand, would be bad right now. I'm trying to be responsible and not bring more junk food into the house.
