View Full Version : Ron and Fez more popular in Jersey?

After the Cruel Circus it seemed like there are a lot more fans of the show in Jersey then there are in the city. Then this afternoon I saw a ratings report on the net that showed WNEW getting a higher share in Jersey then in NY.

Any ideas why this may be? Do people in the city tend to want to listen to music more then talk radio? Is it because us jerseyans are much more cinic and just get the humor of the show better?

I'm over here in jersey - I can't even call in (I'm in Princeton) and I catch most shows.

I used to be a fat kid, and man, the name just stuck.

The only people I know that listen to the show from NY are from Long Island. I think R&F do have more listeners in NJ...if the next fight is in NJ, they're going to have even more listeners. Suburban news spreads fast among the youth here.

I wonder how popular they are here in DC? Anyone know the ratings?

Granted it's hard to get good ratings when the show is aired at 11PM....

to me O&A has more NJ listeners and R&F has more LI listeners.

I needs to gets me a amplified antenna so i can continue to listen when i move from my dorm in queens in a few weeks.

reception can be spotty unless you listen in a car or have a really good antenna.

JERSEY! The place to be!

Ron and Fez should replace all religion. I would worship at the altar of Ron and Fez. All the characters can be saints, and all the regular call in people can be like bishops and shit. cool

Well let me ask ya'll this: Do you think there is a major difference between the audience of Ron and Fez, O and A, Stern, and Don and Mike?

The audiences seem pretty clear:

Don & Mike: Old, fat white-trash. And senile G. Gordon Liddy fans who think Mr. Liddy's suddenly gotten much ruder.

Stern: Old, 80's-era cokehead burnouts who still think a stripper with Jersey Tunnel-hair and triple-D tits is the best thing on radio.

O&A: Laid-off bluecollar workers, comedians, the mentally impaired, the clergy, the mayor, the president, sluts, junkies, punks, geeks, freaks, dicks, chicks, and underground Al Quada cells.

Ron & Fez: Everyone who listens to O&A except less racist, hornier, fatter and less able to hold their alcohol. And Al Duke's mom.

What's the deal with the R&F bathroom stickers? Anyone know if the other cities will be able to get any? I'll slap those bastards all over every stall from Virginia Beach to Baltimore...

yeah, R&F seem to have most of their fan base in either NJ or LI. NYC is definatly under represented.

I read an article, one of the ones about O&A, which theorized that the show is bigger in Jersey and LI cause most people listen in their cars. People in the city proper tend not to drive as much, especially for commuting, and thus don't listen to the radio.

no one in the city listens to O&A or R&F, especially during work hours. It's all about lite FM elevator music throughout each building you see. you can't get caught listening to anything else. it's totally Fight Club-style.

I live in jersey near Belmar and I am a big fan of both shows. I tried to go to the circus but I couldn't get tickets. I e-mail rory instead of Billy and got nowhere.
