I was talking to someone and dreams came up and sometimes when i have dreams i see people from my past which i havent seen in years and years.....and sometimes i imagine what people look like who i have never seen. I also sometimes have cameo appearances by celebrities.....
other times i can control where the dream goes(lucid)and other times i have no control and feel helpless....
does this happen to anyone else?

SEAGULLBEAGLE - Usually people dream about one of two things - things they were thinking about during the day, or things that are and have been bothering them from which they have not yet achieved a satisfactory resolution. During sleep many repressed memories and actions and events are able to penetrate from the unconscioius mind to the conscious mind.

However, the dream state is not one where most people have control or even one where things make a great deal of sense. Nonetheless, some dream analysis is very interesting and can reveal interesting things about the person

I often have celebrities make appearances in my dreams, but since my queen may read this, I'll forgo giving details. ;)

Lucid dreaming is not particularly common, but it can be learned. Usually it involves writing all your thoughts IMMEDIATELY after you wake up.
