OK i've been trying to draw the cast of the Ron and Fez show but I need to know what you think about the 2 most important members...Ron and Fez.

So tell me what you think and how i can improve them. Just remember that these are cartoons characters. They arent exact, fully detailed drawing of them.

I dont know, Pantera...the guy on the left looks kinda gay. Seriously, I like em both. Youre pretty talented! Forgive me if thats not news..I'm pretty new here. Whoever did my sigpic is pretty talented too. (it wasnt me). Good luck, and let us see the final product, ok?

Pretty good, but don't forget, Fez has that funky eye thing where one eye sorta goes off a little to the side.

PanterA I think AG was looking at the pattern of the goatee. I think it looks great but will they have small bodies or regular bodies? Is this gonna be in the media section soon? Maybe we can get you to do a regular comic strip.

fezzy's eyes need to be more full of life, like a child's eyes almost. and they need to be a little happier, they seem kinda pissed. other than that good job man.

I think they are great...as you know I started making characitures of the board members a few months ago but I never made it to Ron and Fez....I smell collaboration!

I like 'em...maybe a little more sparkle for fezzy's eyes, a little more "gameface" for Ron.

PanterA, these are terrific drawings! You captured so many definative qualities in each. Still, I am going to suggest a few things..only because YOU asked for some input. Even though it's hard to explain without showing you, here goes:

While they are cartoons ( or caricatures ), you can simplify or exaggerate (to a degree ), and it is still helpful to get the basic shape and proportions right.
It really is about drawing a face 'convincingly' ( not necessarily realistically ) and to create features that make sense.

Take another look at Fezzie's eyebrows, and how they frame his face.
Find the light in his big, round eyes..
Someone ( Fatty, I think )described the the expression as "childlike" .

Although Ronnie's eyes are hidden behind glasses, try to imagine what they may look like as part of his 'whole' facial expression..
Is he smiling, smirking, just about to laugh?
What is the distance between the lip and mouth?
*Remember Ron has a small nose, and might not be a feature to concentrate on*

Pleasure pulls features upward..
Sadness pulls them down.
Anxiety and fear is often conveyed by rounded shapes (the eyes and mouth )
Also, if you become hung up on ONE particular part of the face that may be driving you crazy..Just leave that it alone.
Try turning the drawing upside down for a different perspective.
Less is more, in line drawings....I can see you are adept at this , so use that to your ability. If your work is intended for reproduction at a smaller size, than you will want to - at least - start with finer lines.

Ultimately, this is YOUR interpretation, so if you choose to leave them as is...They still work. Really! You are very talented, PanterA!

to me that drawing of ron looks like a 1980's Libyan terrorist.

but i like em'. even more, i like the idea that you're asking for feedback. you are definately going to come out with some good characters. good luck.
