This is hard for me to admit, but I still have a Sega Genesis. Stop laughing. I'm looking to trash it, but I'm not sure which system I should get to replace it. I've heard some people have had probs with x-box. And I guess ps2 has more games? Also..someone told me to wait til Christmas, cuz ps3 or something is coming. SUGGESTIONS? Thanx.

ps2 is the only way to go all the other stuff can pick up the rear.

the game cube is one ugly ass looking thing...lol

the x-box i cant stand the way the controllers look.

Allow me to demonstrate my extreme nerdiness through my depth of knowledge on the subject: Simply put, I'd buy a PS2 if I were you. I own all three system (PS2, X-Box and Gamecube) and I have to say I've probably gotten the most bang for my buck from the PS2. It has more games out now, plays DVD's (as does the X-Box), and will continue to have a lot of games made for it. X-box is very solid but has fewer quality games at this point, and the Gamecube is unfortunately the sole domain of pretty serious Nintendo fans (for now). One thing that you can say about the X-Box is that when games come out for all three platforms, the X-box version is marginally better. But if your last system was a Genesis, I'd say PS2. Also, there is no way PS3 is coming out this Christmas. Consoles usually last five years, and PS2 came out in 2000. Hope at least some of this helped. I guess I got carried away.

my dollar fifty six - i own just the xbox which I would recommend of course. reasons: games look the best, you can rip your music cd's to its 8gig hard drive and then play them alone or as the soundtrack on certain games that support that. endless saves without having to buy memory cards. Yes ps2 has more game but IMO I can only play and afford so many games at $40-50 a piece. If you are into how a game looks as well as plays i suggest x-box.

DOA 3
Simpsons road rage
nfl fever
shrek

GTA3 will be out soon

I have PS2. I'd go with PS2. Game Cube is just for nintendo fans b/c it mostly has nintendo only games. X-Box has the graphics, but PS2 has not only more games but there better quality. Oh and PS3 won't be out until around 2005.

Darn! I thought it came out 2 years ago. Hey Chris. I just got a refurbished PS2 and used GTA3 at Funcoland for $312.00. Get the PS2 it rocks.

i got an XBOx and its nice. The graphics blow away anything the PS2 has done, except maybe FFX. If you like more indepth computer style games, get the xbox. If you prefere more console style gaming, get a PS2. But sooner or later games will be out on most systems. I cant wait till GTA3 comes for the xbox. Then people will compare them, and see the power of the xbox. PS. How do you rip music to the xbox?
