I was wondering (well, Tommy was) where you would go?

Would you fast forward to the future, already using hydrogen as the main source of fuel, with Batman Beyond flying around, and the eradication of disease; or would you go into the past filled with guys like George Washington and MLK, and Ghandi, and a young, viral Ron Jeremy?

Just let me (and TomPoo)know.

;)

Great question!!! I would definately go into the future. The problem with going into the past is that lets say you go back to colonial America and get the cold... you are dead. Life expectancy and living conditions were pretty bad prior to the 20th century. Then again you could become really really rich through the stock market. And the future could be really bad. I'm stumped. Sorry.

Into the past and much like Biff in Back to the Future 3, I would Bring a sports almanac with me and place wagers on all major sporting events building a huge fortune.

And what's with the extra long titles today?

The problem with the Old West is the disease thing. You could die from a crazy variety of diseases. Plus in the Old West towns there is horse crap all over the streets.

the future would be cool, but the people there would have the advantage. see, they got all the cool lazers and stuff. and what do you got? a gun and some bullets.

i would much rather go into the past, and just mow a bunch of people in like england in the middle ages. that would be so cool. what do they have? some swords and arrows. and you got all the cool stuff like oozies.

While there are so many places and times I'd love to go to, I think in the end I'd go to the future, not only to see what it's like, but to see what was written about the time we live in now. I always wonder how true history is - that is, whether what is written really reflects the reality of the time period in question. What do you think people 200 years from now will read about our time? How about a thousand years from now?

You raise a really interesting point. I mean nobody knows about the Phillipine Civil War in the early 1900's and how the U.S. was responsible for the death of thousands. At the time Americans thought that was the big thing of the day... or at least part of a bigger thing... U.S. territorial expansion/imperialism. Now nobody really remembers it. Historians tend to lump things together into nice packaged time periods (i.e. Colonial Period, Industrialization). They will probably label this as the computer/internet age.

Easy -- I'd go back in time and do things differently (with the knowledge I have now) and correct "wrong decisions" I made. I'd say 10 years ago for starters.

i heard some scientist say t-rex was a really shitty hunter...

yea their is some speculation that T-Rex was actually a scavenger.
BUT i change my decision, i would go to the year 2880 to see if that commet that is supposedly on a "collision course for earth" is really going to hit. then i would go to 500 million years from now when our galaxy (the milky way) and the Andrometa galaxy will collide and the earth will either obliterate or be sent hurtling into the depths of the universe depending on which side of the collision it is on. I forget exactly how long it is before thats supposed to happen so i just wrote 500 million, or it might be billion, im not sure. Andrometa is moving a quarter inch closer to the milky way each day or something but its many many many lightyears away so it will be billions/millions of years before they collide. The sun will have burned out by then i think.
I saw some show on the discovery channel on supermassive black holes and how galaxies were formed it was really cool. I also read Carl Sagans book "Cosmos", its a great book, if you havent read it you should. i love space.

I would go into the future... and i say this my past is my past, yes there are things i wish i could change that i did and have been done to me, but I have learned from the pain and dealt with it, and if i went back in time and happen to alter anything then my life would be diferent now...so i would go into the future to see what the future holds and then do like back to the future 2....and study all the sports moments so i could go back to the present and gamble and be fucking rich

I think I would go to the past. I don't want to know what is ahead of me (i like surprises)

I would like to get answers to questions, I would like to see how things happened.

The differences in cultures between then and now.

What true attitude of people during certain wars.

The Pyrimids.

Stonehenge.

I would like to see if Jesus was really as cool as we make him out to be

Who shot JFK

I guess just basiclly finding out the answers to alot of open questions

I think this question rocks. I'd love to go back to 4 time periods:
1) the height of the Roman or Greek Civilizations, it just seems so cool that they were so advanced.
2) Medieval times (no, not the restaurant) Im talking the days of chivalry, Knights, horses, and I'd want to be a princess (yes, Im girly, deal) but I know I'd end up being one of the serfs collecting dung in the field "Help! Help! Im being repressed!"
3) The renaissance: leaps & bounds in invention, thought, art, and culture. Seems like a happening time to live in.
4) The late sixties/early seventies: seems awesome, I love classic rock, the clothes, the scene, everything. My mom always tells me stories of how great it was & quite frankly I'm jealous.

I would love to go to the past and check out all different things, then go back to when I was very young and check out stuff that I don't remember but my parents do. But I only have two problems 1 is the future might change, and how do i get back? So I would first go to the future and get something that makes me invisible and then go to the past, but how do I get back from the past? Sometype of time traveling watch?
