I'm going to Las Vegas for work (a convention, lots of standing around the Convention Center, incessant boredom) and I've never been before.

Aside from gambling, the thing I really want to know is if anyone has any good restaurant recommendations. I'm on the company dime and wouldn't mind treating myself to a nice meal or two while I'm out there. Any suggestions?

We were gonna go to las vegas for vacation this year but now idunno. I think im going to England/Scotland next year for a field trip. that will be cool. then i can come back with one of those cool accents and get all the ladies.

when i was in vegas, we didn't have too many like fancy meals. but we did eat one night at the bellagio, and it was pretty nice. most of the hotels on the strip seemed to have upscale restaurants in them, though

James, the best piece of meat I ever had in Vegas was at Smith and Wollensky's on las vegas blvd. Definately wait for an upstairs table. Downstairs is too busy. Best sushi/saki is inside Ceasars. I dunno the name, but its just outside the casino. Cant miss it. My friends loved the sushi, but I think its the best saki ever! Have fun!!!

Try the steakhouse in Circus Circus.

If you like cajun cooking anything in the Rio.

And the MGM Grand has a good Brunch Buffet.
