wow i have so many memories with the show

- the first time i called up i was on the air for 10 minutes getting love advice

- me and joe poo used to fight, he used to call me vaggie warts and anal amy

- fighting with the jobber

- late night chats on ronandfez.com

- i was the BSB dot commando before i became a baby

- i became the 3rd baby after carli

- i made dumpys fan club

- ron and fez tried to hook me up with someone on the air and baby nicole was born

- the first time i was in the studio during the beef jerky contest (i licked opies mic)

- calling in to tell opie how much i looked up to him just to have him say "do you think i care about your life"

- fighting with dumpy. "I AM NOT THE ROAD TO OPIE" and "IM A VIRGIN YOU DICK" became popular quotes from that convo in aol chat

- turning dumpys fan club into a hate club

- getting the opies face tattooed on my arm

- my 18th b-day show when i got my first tattoo

- just for sweet mellissa "on earth 2 opie cares about my life"

- going into the studio for the x-mas show and meeting some great people for the first time

Well, I've re-typed this a few times. Lets see if I can make sense this time. Unlike most comedy talk shows (who shall remain nameless), you can tune in at any moment during the show, and get a laugh. You dont have to wait half an hour to catch up so u can be "in on the joke." They are consistently and constantly funny. This is important to me because I listen at work, where I'm in and out of a car, and can't follow a theme. I need my comedy NOW. I cant sit and wait for a pay off. Ron and Fez are perfect for me. I hope I've made sense. And I hope you get an A!!!!

The first time I heard ron and fez was back in '99, during the dot com days. It was about a quarter past midnight, and I had just gotten off work. The radio was already tuned to WNEW because of O&A. I remember thinking, "what's up with this guy's voice? Is this a gag?" My first impression was not favorable. I asked someone about the show but no one had heard of it. I ended up listening to the show a lot because I was always on the road at that time of night.

I first tried to call in when they were on days. I remember it had to do with the XFL and retard strengh. I had something funny to say, or atleast funny in my mind. I couldn't get through. But the first time I ever got through was the night they were going on about the segway people movers.

The main reason I love the show is the on air chemistry between ron and fez. It's the conversations they have and the strange directions they take.

The first person I met from the board/show related was Impactplayer at BANoF

I started listening to Ron and Fez after the 9-11-01. I listened to them a few times during the dot.com days. To be honest I didn't like them too much during the dot.com days, but I dind't really give them a chance. I rememver coming back from ground zero on the 12 and just smoking a big fat joint and just listening to the people talk, and RnF let people talk. After I week I became a fan for life.
I love the show because they are simply the most intelligent comedy show going. I also love the fact that one doen't know whats a bit and whats real.

Ah yes, i love posts like this....

My first time ever hearing them was on my late nite drives into NYC to party.....I was immediately drawn to Fezzys voice because it was so unique...back then they used to have guests on the air touting some trite website, hence Ron and Fez DOT COM...

I never really was a fan of Opie and Anthony back then (since then I have grown into a huge fan, cuz they told the new listeners to give them two weeks) but I was a huge fan of the Radio Chick show, in between breaks I heard those old NEXT TIME ON A VERY SPECIAL...RON AND FEZ DOT COOOOOM...ads, and began to listen more and more nightly....

Finally they switched to the midday daypart time slot and that caught me on the road a lot this past summer on my thursday drive to vermont, and my mid afternoon drives to the beach...I remember hearing a lot of dominatrix stuff on the air and that got kinda tired...then came Al Dukes..and I couldnt believe a man liek this was actually hired by a top rated radio station..

I found myself almost hysterical and driving off of I-287 over the summer this particular Thursday midday when the now classic "I GOT MAI TAWL" bit was drawn out by Ronnie for about an hour. Funniest goddamn radio ever....

Sometime in August, i found this message board and began posting, and I had grown accustomed to Al Dukes...I sent him an email saying how I was a fan of the show and he invited me up to participate in a game they called Gaydar back in mid august..I brought some friends with me and just had the absolute best time of our lives up in the studio....

From there I saw how the show worked behiind the scenes, how chill everyone is and how much fun the entire Ron and Fez gang are, especially the FREAKS that live on this message board...
Coincidentely, the night before I was in studio for Gaydar was the nite Al Dukes pissed himself during the hold it competition...I was driving home from Villanova to Belmar NJ on 195 and almost crashed my car i was laughing so hard.

Since then there have been too many memories for me to list, but those are my first...it truly is, the best show on radio...

The first time I heard Ron and Fez, Ron was asking why spanish people have a masculine and feminen version of most words in their language. He then proceeded to complain that he didn't want a penis or vagina on words. I quickly turned the radio off and wondered why they had been given jobs. Then I listened to them more and more, and was quickly hooked. This was back in their great 'dot com' days.

I caught them the first week they aired here on WJFK in D.C., though I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first night...I just remember being stunned because for as far as I could remember, after about an hour or so of Sports Junkies replay, the station cut off and played crappy alterna-jazz or something until Stern came on at six in the morning...this was of course during the dot.com days and the show was live late-night, with Dumpy and Ginny and everyone...Poo was still a prank caller, I remember Kids' Fight Club, Baby Sara becoming Baby Sara and then all the babies to follow...I remember calling that first week and ragging on the fact that I thought both Ron & Fez were gay...and it was because of R&F that I couldn't wait for O&A to come on WJFK...just hearing Anthony on his visits to the R&F show made me want to hear his actual show...so I've been a faithful O&A and R&F listener pretty much since day one down here in D.C.! I loved the show because it was just so random...Don & Mike had just gotten very formulaic, and while I liked the Sports Junkies, I hate Washington-area sports teams, so they couldn't keep my interest...outside of them we just had G. Gordon Liddy, and THAT was no good...R&F were funny (And I couldn't believe Fezzy's voice for those first few weeks) and spontaneous and the callers were just insane...it was just a fun show to listen to after I got home from work and went to sleep around 2 AM or so...

The first time I heard these guys was the first night they were on. I listen to Lovelines (yeah, I'm a tool but Adam Corolla is funny as hell when you're baked)
and they took over for them.
I was so pissed at first but they eventually grew on me.
I've been an O and A fan for a while and went to their roadshow at Tradewinds 3 summers ago. I was also an avid instant feedbacker to O and A at the same time Dan from Hoboken rose to radio stardom.
Alas, a new job where I couldn't listen to O and A or instant feedback relegated me back into radio obscurity.

One of my favorite memories was one of the first times I ever heard Ron and Fez.

It was late 2000 or early 2001 when I was driving back to DC from CT. Ron and Fez were talking about how you wipe yourself. I damn near drove my car off the Merritt Parkway because I was laughing so hard.

I've listened to Ron & fez since
they first came to New York. I
was kind of messed up on drugs,
and something about them
immediately appealed to me. The
fact that they were on late at
night, and that their sense of
humor was just a bit off... later
on I found out Ron was a
recovered addict, and that was
also comforting.

My favorite memory happened
last Friday in the Green room. Al
Dukes was making us (game
show contestants) smoke all
crouched in a corner in the back.
We were all bitching about it to
Ron. Ron just smirked and took a
huge hit on his cigar and blew it
in Al's face. Al turned green and
we all laughed.

As far as interesting facts about the Ron and Fez show:

-Ron is, in fact, Kaiser Soze.

-Fez keeps a small taste of a frightened young boy he's "tutored" beneath his fingernail in case he needs a boost during the show.

-Billy Staples has been featured before on another very popular radio show as an entirely different character. That character? Mr. Leonard.

-Al Dukes' love is real, but he is not.

-Tenacious C and Wonderboy are named in honor of the Starland Vocal Band

-Joe Poo is not dead, just hiding from Stephen Baldwin.
