my cable bill just went up by 2 bucks,,,I bet pretty soon they're gonna surprise us and add the yes network for "free",,,those bastards.

why what happened?

Up here there is a cable company called Cablevision and a brand new network called YES. YES is the new NY Yankees channel. The cable company wants to sell the YES network as a premium channel. So everybody is up in arms because they have to pay more $$ to watch the yankees. Speaking of new networks......the mets have a new network called NO!LOL! I thought it was funny. Any way back to the topic at hand there is a solution. It's called DirecTv!!

ooh i see. ive heard of directv, but down here we have Comcast Digital Cable its got like400 channels and like 7 HBO's and showtimes, etc...,

I was talking to a few of my friends. As we were cursing out espn for not broadcasting the Yanks game on Wed., we were trying to figure out what to do about the whole thing. How about a big protest outside Cablevision's corporate headquarters? Everyone shows up in their Yankee gear. Don't foget to call up a few members of the media. Everyone keeps trying to place the blame on each other. They're all forgetting the real story..... the fans. The only good thing is that their stock has dropped like 50 points in the last few months.

it was weird, espn cut into the yankees game for 10 seconds the other night, it wasn't like they were showing other games, it looked more like hte yankees signal jumped in, like a pirate broadcast

It's great how people hate cablevision for what they're doing, but tolerate steinbrenner for creating the YES network in the first place. Yes it's his right, he owns the team and all, but I really think he's just as responsible for no yankee games as cablevision is.

sunndoggy is right, they are both trying to screw us.
and i dont think it will just be "free" when they do carry it.You'll probably have to subscribe for an addition fee.
