What a day! My kitten ate a 3-inch needle! Somehow he got into my mom's needle and thread. { Actually, it was my younger sister's kitten, but she moved out recently ... but that's a whole different story! }
I was in my room this morning and I heard my mother yelling. So I go to see what she wants, and she said Whiley { my kitten } had a piece of thread and a needle in his mouth. So I tried to grab him ... he is so damn fast! So I finally pick him up and the f***ing needle is hanging from the side of his mouth. Then he was thrashing in my arms trying to escape, and then there was no needle. I searched the floor at least 5 times on my hands and knees with a flashlight. Still no needle! But Whiley was fine, running around ... being himself. So I brought him to a vet just to be careful ... and they found the f***ing needle! The vet called and said to me, "Yes, we found it. It's a big needle!"
So he had surgery earlier tonight! Vets are so damn expensive, but I love my Whiley!!!
Just had to share ... what a day! Thanks!

I feel your pain Christy, last summer my dog [Max] was rolling around all day and eating grass,then throwing up. After a few hours I took him to the vet [of course it was a w/e and it had to be the animal E-R vet] long story short, he ate a corn cobb and couldn't pass it.$1,800 and two days later he was ok, except the cone on his head for a week.
I love the jerk.
Labs eat anything,stupid dog.
I hope your kitten is ok Christy.. up-date please..

Christy, Sorry to hear about your kitty.
Cats are like children sometimes. It sucks but you gotta love them!

christy:
i hope everything is ok with the kitten. if something like that happened with my cats, i'd go nuts. my cats are my babies and i'd do anything for them. i don't know which is worse, cats or men?

Where did you get such a weird name as Whiley? I mean it just sounds so weird when you say it! I... er, uh, never mind.

if you put the needle in the other end you wouldn't have these problems.

my cat had a urinary tract infection earlier this year, hes fine now. hooray. his name is Kitty. his real name is Scitzo but people who didnt know his name and stuff called him "kitty" so hes used to that now. i dont think cats answer to names anyway.

my cats has flutd, it basically he can develop kidney stones and urinary track infection all the time. it's a pain in the ass. i have to tak ehim to the vet every 6 month, to make sure that he is ok. you might want to ask the vet if your cat needs to be put on a low ph diet.

Sorry about the kitten. I hope everything is OK. My suggestion is to lock up the sewing kit and get yourself a good watergun.
