Horde King today I took my nephew to see Spiderman and on our way to the movie theatre some guy cut us off on the highway. So I sped up to get next to him and had my nephew lower the window and give this guy the finger. He was an old guy but doesn't that mean he should have known better? As far as me telling my nephew to give him the finger. Keep in mind I live in NJ and the motto out here is"Welcome to New Jersey... now go home!"

yeah, i was born and breed in jersey, and i know its a pretty hard place. we are all such assholes here... but anyway, sure, the guy deserved it. but if he was like 60+, maybe you should have cursed at him instead. its not like he could have heard you anyway.

very funny story, but is this
how you want your nephew to
learn to deal with people that cut
him off while driving.

CHHEEZEMEE - To the very best of my knowledge, no study has ever been conducted showing that kids are harmed in any measurable way by cursing or "foul" language or gestures. Exposure to violence (the real life kind) has very bad effects but this does not carrry over to video games (which does not cause violence)

Your nephew will survive being exposed to the finger, (and he's probably used it himself before you corrupted him anyway).

People often react very differently from behind the wheel than they do while not driving.

I suspect you got pissed off. You may have had cause to be pissed. But really did giving the old guy the finger help you in any way? Did it affect him in the slightest? Of course not.

Next time, you're better off yelling or cursing in your car, than risk a confrontation that accomplishes nothing.

Thanks for the advice guys. Next time I'll have my nephew lower the window and yell obscenities at the old bastard! My nephew is 9 by the way. I'm teaching him all the dirty words. I figure if he's gonna learn them he's gonna learn from me. Next week: shoplifting

It's fine to do that in Jersey...my great state where you can still honk at people and not get shot!

Texas is violent...have you seen the bumper sticker "Keep honking, I'm reloading" ? Or the one with a confederate flag saying "Hapiness is a Yankee going back north"

Damn, maybe I should move back?!

Thanks for the help Earth2Ron, how can i ever repay you?!
