I left school about 6 months ago.. and I'm still at my parents house, going from one louzy job to the other. But in august I'm going back to school to finish..
I think it's probably more easy to find a good job once you finished school.. then you can always settle down and get your own house. And just like darkhippie said.. once you stop going to school, you'll get used to earning money and going back to school will probably be the last thing on your mind..

Yep -- that's why I still haven't earned a Master's degree.

NELLIE - Many people benefit from a year off between high school and college.
However, it definitely is harder to get back into school once you've left accademia. And the lifetime earning rate of college graduates are almost double that of hs grads. (The biggest discrepency is b/w teen moms and women who waited till their twenties).
With that caveat in mind, enjoy the year "off." You're only young once, go and live it up.

Yeah, i think a year may be a little extreme, try to set specific dates to get a place and a liscense by and if youpass them with nothing to show, then i think its time to go back to school
But you can come visit me anytime youd like :)

Do what ever you want. If taking a year off makes you happy then make it happen. Just think of all the poems you could write!!! We (the board) can only benefit!! I love your poems! Especially the one where you called me a fake! That's fine by me. I know I told you I only had one arm but at the time it was true! *TMI ALERT!!*I was typing with one hand! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!

once you take off from school, it is extremely hard to go back. take the summer off or just take a light course load.

A bunch of people from my high school graduating class took a year off before college. They went touring America and later Europe.
Every last one of them entered college as planned and on schedule after the year off. The major difference was that they were infinitely more mature than the typical freshman or sophmore college student. Experience and a broader world view had given them perspective and maturity.
My brother also took the year off b/w high school and college. He spent the year in Israel. He grew up very fast and returned with much clearer goals than when he left.
Is a year off for everyone. Of course not. But don't rule out something that may be beneficial to you.
