Welcome Randy. I believe you'll find the board a pleasant and friendly place.

Regarding sexual preference, there are many, many reasons and situations where it is not wise to come out. And often those who do come out do so to everyone but their family.

Al does not appear to be gay, (in either a stereotypical or non-traditional way) but he does have other issues.

His sexual preference is not a big deal (and in an ideal world it wouldn't be relevant to anyone.)
