i love both empire and starwars equally.jedi was really good.and i basically didnt like episode one

Episode I The Phantom Menace

No, just kidding! I can't say yet because episode II might be my favorite. It looks like it will be a hundred times better than Ep I.

Lucas really didn't write Episode I all that long ago. He wrote it over a weekend when he was drunk on Corona.

Has anyone seen the guy who does the voice of Jar-Jar? Is that Chuck Nice?

Empire was the best

However, I defy anyone to say that they did not walk out of Episode 1 with some burning desire to become a Jedi.

Episode 1 did make Jedi's look like the bad asses they are, not little pooftas like Luke Skywalker

Over the last few days, it's come out that someone in hollywood created Star Wars Episode 1.1:The Phantom Edit. They edit out about a half hour from the movie and supposedly it's incredibly better.

Rumor had it that Kevin Smith created it, but he has come out and said no, but that he has a copy.

I want one! Free statuses for life for anyone who can get me one! :)

Jar-Jar was in the movie for approximately 30 minutes.

It really wasn't that bad a movie, and Jar-Jar didn't ruin it. The only problem was the lack of a villain. Darth Maul was proclaimed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, but he spoke two or three times, and that's about it. Maybe it's just me, but I like my villains to speak a bit more than Jaws.

They didn't edit out Jar-Jar. They did reduce his screen time, kill the midichlorians, skip alot of the bongo stuff, etc.

I actually liked the first one the most. It was a totally interesting thing to see for the first time, and it started out the franchise perfectly :)

Bottom line:

Hopefully, one of the next two sequels will be really good. Episode one was too "disney" and George Lucas took an approach opposite of the one he took for the original trilogy.

its quiet in the Theatre

they show the STAR WARS logo

and inthe back someone yells "HEY! I SAW THIS ONE ALREADY!"

theatre laughs/gets pissed.

Empire Strikes Back was always the best. Episode I mad e me promise that I'd never see another one, but after breaking that promise and seeing Episode II, I'm back! I cant wait for EpIII. So to answer the question, right now I'll say its a tie between Empire and EpII.

I liked A New Hope best, except for Princess Leia's weird accent that disappeared after they blew up Alderan. The Ewocks and Yoda's voice (I kept thinking of Fozzy Bear)was just too much muppets for me in Empire. Return of the Jedi was cool, but it seems disappointing that they dispatched Boba Fett so unceremoniously now that he's becoming so interesting in the prequels. I also couldn't see Anakin and Senator Amidala ending up together. I thought he came off kind of pre menstrual,but Yoda kicked butt in that one though.

I know Empire is the best of them. I've heard it before, and I understand. (here it comes) BUT I gotta go with Jedi. Luke is such a badass, fully grown in his powers that from the moment he walks into Jabba's palace to the very end when he's beating down on Vader, I am completely in awe. It's so fucking cool. The last half hour, from the moment Luke turns himself in until the end, Ewoks and all, is the culmination of the entire story, first three, and now six chapters. I still get goosebumps whenever I watch it. That's true for the enire series though.

I think Empire is the best movie period. It has everything. Vader was such a badass. The ultimate bad guy. I can watch that movie a million times. Overall-Empire,New Hope,Jedi,Clones and Mennace.
