Hey HK.

I'm currently in a job I despise.

My degree has pidgeonholed me into a field where I can't possibly get a job without contacts, which I lack.

So I'm debating going to grad school to get an MBA, a teaching degree, or get a masters in communication like Al Dukes. (get some public relation skills or something)

I have the grades, people skills, and charm to get into grad school, but I'm scared shitless of taking a standardized test. Do I *need* to take one of those to get into grad school?

Grad schools like standardized tests like the GRE or LSAT or GME b/c it provides a measure to compare one candidate against another.

Sometimes though, a school may waive one or more of these requirements, in an otherwise excellent candidate for admission based upon past work history or life experience.

Try to think of these requirements in terms of policies and not rules. Admissions officers have wide descretion. Use some of that charm to get him or her to waive the requirement.
