Although I was more of a rock lover, I do like some of the classic disco tunes from back in the day.
"Push Push In The Bush"
"Funkytown"
"Born To Be Alive"
"Disco Inferno"
and a few hundred more. Anyone care to "Do The Hustle"?;)

I think we can all agree that "Disco Duck" defined an era.

I was a "death to disco" guy but when I hung out with my "goombahs" from Bensonhurst I really had to pretend that I liked it so I could get the "girlie action";)

I totally understand heckler, about the girl aspect of disco..

thanks for the johnny slash..

I remember in high school we used to pull the pranks from square pegs.. everyone cough or drop your books at a certain time to piss off the teacher. It was fun back then.

People forget that some rock bands tried to cash in on the disco craze. Bands like KISS!

The Bee Gees and KC and the Sunshine Band were funky as all get out. And Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way" totally kicks ass! The Spinners "Rubber Band Man" - I defy you not to dance.

As for rock bands cashing in on disco, I must admit that my boys, the Rolling Stones, did attempt to dabble in the field with "Miss You" and "Emotional Rescue". How about Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy"? And I seem to recall the Grateful Dead's "Shakedown Street" having a 4 on the floor drum beat (a disco trademark).

Disco Stu is one of those ultra cool cats who refers to himself in the third person. He himself spoke those words on the Simpsons, in the George Bush episode, I believe.

I finally found my "Donna Summer's Greatest Hits" CD.
I plan on dancing with with vacuum later as I blast "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girls". It's the only way to clean.

How can you forget Donna Summer's "Love to love you, baby" with all those moans in the background. My favorite is "Cherchez la femme/Se si bon" by Buzzard's Original Savannah Band.

That music is so easy to forget. Growing up in Brooklyn, I specifically sought out rock bars. They were plenty on Flatbush Ave. And I went to school in the heart of "disco country" Bay ridge LONG LIVE ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I stumble around the Irish Rivieria
