The 'falling' part may have come from falling and getting your heart broken.

Falling in love is so cool though.You don't even know how much you shine, but people around you can see it.

If you happen to find yourself "falling in love" try to do it slowly and let it build .

An interesting choice of semantics is it not?

I feel that people are said to "fall" in love b/c as their mutual feelings for each other increase, they experience a certain vulnerability, knowing that the person who they love the most has the greatest potential to hurt them. They fall in love then, in the sense that they no longer control their own ability to uplift or degrade themselves.

That's why it's so important that you love the right person!

If you actually meet someone that just clicks with you right away, it does actually feel like you're falling or off balance to some extent. I don't mean in the literal sense, but rather in that you feel weird and different from normal. So that may explain why someone would feel as though they were &quot;falling&quot; in love. Falling in love and meeting someone that you at some point realize that you love are different things I think. I think that the term falling in love is more like when two people feel love at first sight. Which I don't think is common at all, but it can happen.
