Not that it makes a difference...if he hadn't had this so-called "flu" he MIGHT have lasted a full round...I'm just saying, a guy gets destroyed in the ring once and eagerly shows up again AND while horribly sick, well, that's not too shabby...

He looked awful. I can tell you that first hand. I give him full credit for getting in the ring, even though he was in no condition to even be working. Great job Al!!

Yeah he was on his death bed, the poor guy. He was all out of sorts. I do have to say for feeling like complete shit, kudos to him for at least attempting to whip Earl's romp. Better luck next time.

I thought that it was just a work like in the WWE. There was no way in hell that Earl should have been able to beat anyone that easily especially with Al having to be helped out by the EMT's. My impression before I left was that Al took one for the team.

Now I wanna see Earl fight the Invisible Man, any odds on who would win?

YES!! I was fighting in the digs town cahllenge, and i met al back stage. we were tlaking for like 2 mins, but u can jsut tell when someone is that sick. i saw him in the ambulance too, dude was FUBAR! oxygen, sheets, IV.... the medics said he had a 103 fever!! i have some respect for him now, even Earl said he did on the bus back to the studio. i'm actually proud of al dukes for not fagging out.

Craig is 100% correct. Al was violently ill, and really had NO business getting into a boxing ring that evening.

The fact that he refused to let the show (and the fans) down gained him a tremendous amount of admiration and respect from me.

The best thing that Al did was get into that ring...even though it could have killed him...he finally showed some real balls...way to go AL! You earned my respect!

Al was violently ill and even Steve Miller (ref guy/trainer) said after the match that Al had no business being in that ring and should never have stepped in in the first place.

Al's trainer yelled at him not to get in the ring and he did anyway. Al has balls.

I cought the tail end of that fight over the net and listened as Earl ate some paper... I was very surprised, I mean very surprised that it ended the way it did...I just didn't understand it... With the way he was talking he made it sound like he was IT, there was no hesitation nor clue that he was sick!! Now reading what really happened, there is no way anyone of us could have put up anykind of fight under those conditions. I know how I feel when I get like that.... Whew Forgetaboutit.... Nice Job Al.. You did good!

Damnit, I wanted to go but I got stuck at fucking work. Too bad about Al being sick. I really was thinking he was going to kick ass. I am listening to the replay now and it seem like an awesome show I missed.

just to add my 2 cents, but al was sick as a dog backstage, he had absolutly no business getting in the ring, and i am sure he half did it because he does have a set and the other half was most likley because of the abuse he would have taken had ne not.

Al won straight up. The knockdown diddn't count because of the bell. The same bell that saved Billy Staples. <P>

Alright, so the word seems to be that Al really was horribly sick...so is he going to be able to have a rematch with Earl?

hey can't we all just get along? the cops saw to it there was no penis riding, and i was pissed. the other thing is, al was sick... maybe it was protein overload, maybe it was the flu, maybe full blown aids *STEVEN LYNCH*. no matter what this thread is older than the mac and cheese i ate for dinner... so lets leave it at that
