what must a thread have in order to get stars?.i have been wondering about that for awhile now.

It's up to the moderators discretion about handing out stars, and can be for a variety of reasons.

Usually mods will give a favorable rating to a thread that they think is a "must read", or one that seems to have an overwhelming amount of replies.

What can I say? With age comes experience.

You get a guy like Tazz, who barely ever starts a topic, but when he does he's slobbering, dragging his teeth, he's NOT crying, doing everything you could possibly do wrong...you give him 3 stars out of pity, but you don't return his calls.
