View Full Version : Elvis Guy or Beatles Guy?

This question was asked by Uma Thurmann to John Travolta in "Pulp Fiction"(director's cut). Personally, I'm an "Elvis" guy, mainly due to the fact that we have the same eating habits.;)

I'd agree with Heckler that I'm an Elvis man, though for me it's because we share the notion that we can control the weather and have the power to heal.

That pleases me greatly.

Beatles! Those crazy moptops from Britain stole our hearts. (OK, now how many of you don't know who the Beatles OR Elvis is?)

I see.

How many know that "Britain" is the same "country" as "England" and is part of "Europe" in another "continent."

I see.

How many know all the words to the McDonalds "two whole beef patties..." song. LOL. 100%!

Well, today's cd purchases were Stella Soleil and Stabbing Westward. If you haven't listened to her band (Sister Soleil) I totally recommend it.

i don't like stabbing westward. sister soleil=two thumbs up, awesome.

atari teenage riot does rock. i didn't like their lyrics in burn berlin burn but their sound was got me interested in them...60 second wipeout is definitly better.

How can you Atari Teenage Riot fans forget Hanin Elias? Her solo stuff is as awesome as Alec Empire's solo stuff.

<img src="http://www.chaoticconcepts.com/bans/rfjustjon.jpg">

girl germs

whenever i say atari teenage riot i mean hanin elias as well, as elias is an integral part of atr. i'd say her solo stuff is somewhat better than anything atr has every released.

some info: le tigre's kathleen hanna is a guest vocalist in atr's 60 second wipeout. the track is called "no success" and it also features the arsonists (totally kick ass). kathleen loves hanin elias so much that elias is mentioned on "hot topic," le tigre's song about all the women that inspire them in one way or another. also mentioned in "hot topic" is dj kuttin kandi, an amazing dj who's also part of the anomolies, who has worked with the arsonists (on a comp album i think).

Heckler, you should be flattered that we feel so at ease here that we freely wander from subject to subject no matter what the post... where else (besides pretty much every other forum) will you find such lively and varied discussions?

Keep in mind, we're also highly medicated...

Goulet, like Ms. Germs, can unhinge his jaw and swallow a Buick. My money's on Goulet...

...but only if he can duck and weave and avoid that Newton hair...bigger men than Goulet have disappeared in that 'do.

Elvis, hands down. Beatles were talented musicians, but they weren't rock stars. Elvis was the original rock star.

The only time Lennon "sucked D" was when he let Yoko sing.

Yeah I heard that rumor. I think there was also a rumor about Lennon and original bassist Stu Sutcliffe.
