All i can say right now to all the Nets fans is "HA-HA!!!"
I am so glad I am a Knicks fan right now because I'm used to disappointment. But how do you blow a 21-point lead in the last 12 minutes of the game? The Nets suck, they dont deserve to win, Jason Kidd carries them, and I hope Boston beats them and wins the NBA Championship, which they're not. But hey, it's always cool to root for a team.
NBA Championship Prediction- Sacramento Kings beat the Boston Celtics in 5 games.
You heard it first right here, straight from the mouth of Whitey.

the Nets as a team suck, Jason Kidd doesnt. he's the only reason they made it to the playoffs anyway. You notice how last year the Nets were horrible? and the year before that? and before that? They need to stop relying on Jason Kidd all the time and thats why they lost yesterday. They think the guy is Superman and he can play all 48 minutes by himself. He needs some help and he's not gonna get it on the Nets. So they will just lose the series if they keep relying on Kidd alone. That is why they suck. :)

Why bother arguing with a knick fan? It's obvious he's green with envy. The Nets rule NY in basketball.....

i agree that they do need more talent on the team, but i think that the more than proved themselves as being a less sucker team than the past years. and who knows, they could just pull it off and win it all. i wouldn't put it past them.

That's a bold statement buddy, considering this is the first time in NETS HISTORY that they've made it to the conference finals, if I am correct and I do believe I am. The Knicks are credited with 1 or 2 NBA championships, where are the Nets'? Sure the Knicks had an off year but that's OK, they'll be back next year and while they might not win a championship they will make the playoffs.

Yesterdays Celtics game was fucking sweet, at one point down 26 and down 21 to start the 4th! What a comeback!
Lets hope Kobe and the shitty Lakers lose today.

McNabb, you're obviously not that bright a basketball fan based on the dumb things you just said.
First off, what team isn't carried by a star player? Would the Bulls have been anything without MJ carrying them? Would the Lakers have been great without Magic or Kareem? Would the Rockets have won without Hakeem? Would the Celtics have won as much without Bird? I doubt it.
The NBA is all about stars and a supporting cast of players and role players. Anyone who watches basketball knows that.
To win an NBA championship, a team needs a star.
All teams blow big leads...the Knicks of old, the Lakers, you name it...when you have a big lead, teams get complacent...and if you ask any coach, they'd rather be down at half than up at half, because they know their team will have a letdown...sure 20 points is a lot, but not surprising...
Back to having another option besides Kidd...of course you need another scoring option, but the Nets don't have that guarantee...they don't have a Kobe to a Shaq, or a Drexler to a Hakeem, or a Pippen to a Jordan...but the East is so watered down this year that it doesn't matter, and you can't deny that they're tied 2-2 in the Conf. finals...that means something, no matter how they got there.
And stop giving Knick fans a bad name with your lack or NBA knowledge! I'm a Knick fan! And by the way mario, the Nets by far to not rule NY in anything...have you checked their attendance? They're not selling out playoff games...when you can't do that, you're not ruling anything.
And finally Mcnabb, it'd be nice if you actually knew how many championships the Knicks have won, being the supposed Knick fan you are.
I'm one of the biggest Knick fans around, but if you think that they're making the playoffs next year, you're on crack. They have a horrible team, and couldn't even make it to the playoffs this year with a horrible eastern conference! Camby always gets hurt, Houston never has become the all star he should be, and spree, while having a decent year, wasn't anything great. They have a horrible coach, no forseeable help in the draft, and things look grim.
I will be SHOCKED if they make the playffs next year, maybe the year after. It's rebuilding time.

Mc Family nights are coming to MSG! Mark my word. 4 tickets for $99 and 4 mc donalds meals.
Cablevision MUST sell the garden, knicks, liberty and rangers. They dont know how to run a sports team, just what channel to them on.
I hope mark cuban gets bored with the mavs. Hell replace Layden with Pat Croce!

I would love it if Cuban owned this team...I think he's a fantastic owner, with a great future, despite the way the Mavs played against the Kings.

the only reason i say the lakers are going to win is because they have the better all around team. the nets dont have anyone to stop Shaq and thats going to be a big factor. and dont even try to tell me that the big dumb oaf todd mcallin, or however the F you spell his name, is going to be able to control Shaq.

McNabbShouldDie, good try on your Kings/Celtics prediction.
Yeah, OK, I heard it here first Lakers in 6. Whatever you tool.
Nizzle this, I called Nets in 6, and I'm calling Nets in 6 again. They will win one game out of two at Lakers, 2 out of 3 at Nets, and win the 6th game back at Lakers. The Nets are a balanced team with 6 players going in double didgits almost nightly. Kidd leads the team because he knows how to have others play. Unselfish, and puts the Nets on his back when they are in trouble. Watch the fast break, and turnovers destroy the house of Kobe/O'Neil

I think the Nets will lose in 6. Most probably they'll lose the first 2, win the next game at home, and then lose the 4th to have the Lakers go up 3-1. Then they'll win game 5, with it being the last home game of the season. THen they'll lose in game 6. That's what I THINK will happen.

Now what I hope happens...Nets shock the Lakers tonight, then lose game 2. Then they MUST WIN 1 of the next 2 games. They can't go down 3-1, because then they have NO CHANCE, because the Lakers will not lose 3 in a row.

And the keys are...

Lakers are a better road team this year in the playoffs.

Nets must win at least 2 games in LA to win, because the Lakers WILL WIN at least one in the meadowlands.

And finally, they have NO ONE to stop Shaq. Don't underestimate what Divac did to him the last series. If Shaq averages 40 a game, the NEts will be done in 5.

Lets face it. We were all hoping that the Nets would face the Kings in the finals. Well, the Kings lost, so now the Nets will too.
In 5.
Doesn't it suck when your home team is in the way that obviously is going to be a dynasty?
I mean, if it was any other team, the Nets would win in 6 or less, but not the Lakers. Nobody can take them down. And the sad thing......
Kobe's going to be around for like another 15 years.

I love my Nets... have been since the Drazen days, God bless his Hall of Fame soul, anyway realistically we don't have a chance...
If they win one game... I say moral victory!
