View Full Version : Do your parnets know how to use the internet and email?
I was trying to help my stepmother today how to use her AOL email address from the internet. And its hopless! for starters she has no patience, second she asks me every five seconds if Im sure about what im doing. Long story short she's not familiar with the internet at all and teaching her is impossible. As far as my father goes he knows how to use the internet. Dosnt use it all that much but has an email address and all

My dad is fine with both the internet and email, but my mom is hopeless with both of them...she just doesn't get it, but since she doesn't really need or like to use it, it's no biggie.

Sure they do. My Mom's a little less capable, but she can do the important stuff. My Dad can do a bit more. Still, I bet most parents these days would rather not bother with the hassle of learning.

My mom just started recently using AOL and she is doing well with it suprisingly....I had to show her everything about 500 times but that was pie compared to showing her how to hook up and use the scanner/faxmachine/copier....I would rather cut my fingers off one by one and shoved them up my ass then ever ever do that again.
I don't think my father has ever even touched a computer in his life. I still have to put the tape in the VCR for him and push play

My father can't even work his cell phone correctly. My mother is fine, I chat and share emails with her. My sister know's enough, but her fiancee had to be taught.

The thing is my stepmother just had my father sign up for AOL. I had to show her today and explain every little mouse click that she made today, I was going to rip that mouse out of her hand I was getting so fustrated

my father can but when it comes to anything the least bit complicated he's bitching and complaining. My mother doesn't even try. She thinks computers are worthless.
