Wuzzles rocked. I had a bunch of Pillow People and Gummi Bear dolls, along with those Wrestler dolls you're supposed to wrestle with, but turned out looking like less-pliable Gingerbread men.

As for action figures...I had a massive He-Man collection which my mother gave away to charity to spite me.

Did anyone have a Nintendo Power Glove? I had no clue how to use it on the system, but if you cut the cord, it made a ROCKIN' accessory when playing Superheroes..

I guess I can safely assume you weren't running around with it pretending to be Robocop.

I didn't know Nintendo counted. I had everything Nintendo. U-Force, Power Pad, R.O.B. Remember R.O.B.? He worked Gyromite (and one other game that eludes me), and "work" is in the loosest sense of the word. If you had a degree in Nuclear Physics, you are halfway there, you can almost set him up. All you need is an altimeter, slide rule, global positioning system, and any material necessary for handling plutonium.

I used him for target practice for my nerf guns.

Bigwheels were the best. We use ride down hills in thoses things. There was always someone getting hurt. Me and 4 of my childhood buddies had them taken away from us when after one of my friends broke his arm.

I didn't have ROB/gyromite, but I played it at a friend's house once and we just used the second controller instead of ROB.

And I forgot all about my bigwheels. those were fun.

Did anyone notice that Mouse Trap was quite possibly the worst game ever? If it wasn't for the elaborate Rube Goldberg-design of the trap, then it would just be moving around a board, trying not to land on a single space. What challenge.

Silly Putty was retard fun. It didn't really do anything, but you'd play with it for hours.

Finally, Superballs were quite possibly the scariest toys ever. You'd wing it as hard as you can and then you'd run, because there would be a 3" chunk of solid rubber bouncing around the room at speeds upwards of 1,000 mph. It made for a good weapon if needed, though.

Yay! Popples! I loved those furry lil bastards.

HK- yes i actually HAVE snuzzled my wuzzle...yesterday infact. It was bumblelion. He sits on my bed right next to rainbow brite and the blue sprite.

What is kerplunk...i dont think i remember that.

Oh yeah and I found some old she-ra dolls while cleaning out this hellhole of a house.

Do any of you chicks remember Sweetsecrets? They were these little dolls that folded up into little plastic cases and clipped on to special necklaces and hairbrushes and stuff.
Smooshies were cool too...similar to sweet secrets, but like mini stuffed animals.

Ahhh...to be young again

Kerplunk was a game where there was a huge plastic tower with many holes which you stuck plastic sticks through. Then you poured marbles on top of the sticks and pulled the sticks out one by one, and the person that loses is the one that makes the marbles fall through the sticks. (The game was further complicated by the fact that, even if the marbles fell, they would go in different players' trays, so one person fucking up doesn't mean they lost, all the marbles could go in other peoples' trays.)

It was one of those games, like Jenga, Perfection, or Operation that could cause an aneurysm in a child, and often did.

Come to think of it, Operation and Perfection were EVIL games.

Estes Rockets were the best.
As a child you had the power to play with truly dangerous explosives! The were rocket clubs and the members would meet and spend the day blasting flammable projectiles! Another great thing were those vibrating metal football games...what crap! And of course there was Strat-O-Matic Baseball.

I had a glowworm! Their heads were ROCK HARD. You'd play with them and end up with a concussion.

As for Teddy Ruxpin, my uncles always used to replace the tape, so instead of telling me fun stories to get me to sleep, he would scream "I AM IRON MAN" in a frightening voice with his eyes rolling back in his head.

I used to teach rocketry at a camp years ago. Estes were cool. And you were lucky if your rocket came back down where you could retrieve it. And if your streamer "parachute" was packed badly, the thing was a fucking bullet coming straight down.

I still have my kerplunk in my closet.

And I got so into slinkys a few years ago, my parents gave me a gold plated slinky for my b-day.

Effmeboobs, see, great minds think alike! :) And I'm glad you liked the sig, cause it's good to know that there are other people who like bright lights too! :)

And a toy that always hit the spot was a big box. Whenever my parents bought something that came in a big box, I used to take that box and make it into something. Whether it was a fort or a spaceship or something like that, just give me a box and some magic markers any day, and I'm set! :)
