I had lunch a few years back with Elizabeth Berkley in a Hollywood Cafe, she was real cool and easy to talk to. She even showed me her script for Any Given Sunday, she was leaving that night to go film her part. My reason for having lunch with her isn't very interesting and her mom was with her. On a side note, while we were there I saw Fabio having lunch.

A couple of weeks ago, I got a chance to get an autograph from Paul Westerberg. I got an autogragh for my best friend of 30 years and the other was for someone very, very close to me.

My best friend got my Hounds of Love vinyl album signed by Kate Bush.

I also met Maya Angelou. I love her work but I got *so* befuddled when I actually met her. I SUCK!

I forgot, I also have Stewart Copeland's autograph (but I stink because I got it from E-Bay) and a copy of The Witching Hour by Anne Rice.

Anyone have any cool autographs? I'd do anything to get Peter Murphy's and Stewart Copeland's (in the flesh as opposed through an auction!).

I see your point. I never bother people when I see them. Hell, I used to work in a store in Chelsea and Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson came in. I SO bit my tongue!

I only get autographs through book/album signings. I don't want to bother anyone.

I've met a bunch of celebrities but I don't ask for autographs ever since in the same year when I was 12, Pete Sampras said "Not now, kid" and Jeff Goldblum signed a fucking "x" for his name. However, I did hang out and drink with Oliver Stone at Dartmouth University and persuaded him to play beer pong against me. My brother was president of the Dartmouth Film Society and his job (in addition to setting up film festivals) was to get one bigtime director or actor. He got Oliver Stone and invited me up. After the presentation and Q & A in the auditorium, twenty or thirty people went back to the Dean of Dartmouth's house for cocktails and buffet. Anyway, I started talking to him about The Doors and we got hammered and stumbled to various frat parties where more drinking and strangeness took place. My brother was pissed at me. Awesome night.

Reminds me of when i was standing right next to Chubby Checker in a diner line waiting to pay the cashier. I turned to my right and in my mind "Hey, that's Chubby Checker" then turned back, paid and left. He wasn't looking at me.

I've met lots of bands over the years and a few actors. Nobody special. The only person that I truely enjoyed meeting was Mike Ness of Social Distortion. His band has meant so much to me for so long so it was really special meeting him. I guess hes not really a celebrity but it was an amazing thing for me.

At my local video store, I once met and got autographs from all the kids in the movoe "honey I shrunk the kids". I think it was 89 or 90.

2 summers ago, I met up with and had drinks with Jamie Lynn Siegler and her then fiance. She was really cool.

At my old job, they were filming the movie Anger Management the floor above me. I got into the wrong elevator(one I was not supposed to be in) and I was in there with Marissa Tomme, Adam Sandler and Snoop Dogg. Snoop talked to me and Adam Sandler laughed. It was a very weird, crazy minute of my life.

Also, when I was 16, after Junior Prom I went to Cha Cha's in little Italy. It was the same night as some prize fight. Anyway Jack Nicholson was there about 2 tables from us. This was right after I saw the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest. I went up to him and told him how much I loved it, and he bought my whole table a round of drinks. He was wasted, I think high on coke looking back to it. He was very weird, but it was pretty cool.

Edit: Besides the cast of Honey I shrunk the kids, I got no autographs from any of these people because to me that is just stupid.

Tons and tons - I worked for 7 years at the American Film Institute at the Kennedy Center, and all sorts of people would come through; Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, Kathleen Turner, Fay Wray, Gore Vidal (who I was with the first time he ever entered the Kennedy Center, even though he was on the governing body for it when it was created), Paul Bartel, Mathew Modine, Tony Curtis (who told me that if we married my name would be "Curtis Curtis"), Ridley Scott, Merchant or Ivory (I don't remember which one), Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Al Hirshfeld, and (of course) Jodie Foster, who I have a great story to tell one day.

Ten years ago (DAMN! Has it been that long?!), at the World Premiere for "Clear And Present Danger" I hung out with Willem Defoe and Joaquim de Almeida (from this season of "24" - I have a hysterical picture of the two of us very drunk, looking like gay lovers!), not to mention 60% of Capital Hill that was there, and most of the big names in media - including Jesse Helms, Joseph Kennedy Jr., Colin Powell, Cokie Roberts and many, many more.

On different occasions at AFI: Milos Foreman, Jonathan Demme, Matt Damon, Brenden Fraiser - had beers with all of them, the last two before they were famous.

Just outside of the Kennedy Center, I've seen Ted Kennedy ("Jabba The Kennedy"), William Kennedy Smith (who someone was yelling "RAPIST!" as I walked by - they were yelling it at him, NOT ME!), Bob Dole (who lived in The Watergate), Willard Scott (who was getting a haircut! HA!), Ted Kopple (who has a damn nice car!), Janet Reno (who I saw litter), Al Gore, and Joanne Woodward, who was very sweet.

Outside of AFI and all that, I've met The Ramones twice (once with Dee Dee and once with CJ), Jello Biafra (shared breakfast with him at a Waffle Shop in Boone, North Carolina), Howard Stern, Robin Quivers, Roger Corman, David Cassidy, Chuck Jones (I have several unsigned sketches from a lecture he did), Linda Blair, Reggie Bannister, Tipper Gore (shared a lemo with her, where I interviewed her), Candice Gingrich, Julia Child (on her 90th birthday), Anne Rice, Ray Bradbury, Alice Cooper, Barry Williams, Linda Hamelton (at 1am in the morning, at an I-Hop in Winston Salem, North Carolina, right after a Ramones concer!), Clive Barker, Ray Harryhausen, John Turturo, Mark Maguire, Ruth Buzzi, Jack Kirby, Christopher Lee, Sid Haig, Robert Bloch, and my favorite Brit Hume, who I rented pornography to when I worked at Video Vault when they were still in Georgetown.

And I'm sure there are plenty more! The AFI Days alone was amazing - so many people came through; some nothing happened to, but others did.

I also have a plenty of friggin autographs, and I also try and only get ones from people in person - the only exceptions I have are Stephen King, who I mailed books to back in 1987, with a return envelope, and got them signed, and Federico Fellini, who I have a letter from, written less than a year before his death.

Recently I've become a friendly with Tom Sullivan and Kyra Schon (I'll let you IMDB them to get impressed! haha!!)

Yes...I am a star fucker of the n'th degree! haha!

Oddly, the only time I have ever been star struck was around The Ramones, and the first time I met local television horror host, "Count Gore de Vol!"

my best friend Eddie Anch and I went to St Peters Prep Gym in downtown Jersey City to see some boxing matches. A friend from down the street was going to fight and on the card was a Chuck Wepner fight, he was known as the Bayonne Bleeder and had fought Muhammad Ali once. We sat front row and were smoking cigars and decided to head back to the locker room area after Wepner's fight. We didn't see Chuck but we heard his opponent cursing his manager out. A few thing we caught were "I come all the fucking way down here and i got diahrea and the fucking guy is rabbit punching me"... He lost by decision.

And we never saw my friend, i was 15 and had to be home by midnight and his fight didn't start yet.

Another wierd thing: This 'friend' we didn't see Jose Cruz was trying out for the Olympic team and went over to Russia to fight some preliminary match. It was on NBC(i believe) and me and my brothers are waiting for his fight but it never came on Live. Near the end of the program they showed a film clip of his fight, it only lasted about 20 seconds. Turns out the Russian guy pummeled him. On tv it looked like the russian guy was at least 50 lbs heavier.

that's all
